Ain't paying the rent Wednesday

I hope you have a good time, but I'm not jealous. I've skied 17 days so far this season and by Sunday it'll be 20.

We've had an embarrassment of riches with the snow in January/Feb. Local hill has gotten probably close to five feet of snow. We had two separate storms that dropped about two feet each and the skiing was absolutely amazing - I haven't been "out of bounds" skiing at this place for probably 25 years, and if you'd have asked me if I ever thought I would again, the answer would have been "hell no," but sure enough, two Fridays ago, there I was skiing trees out of bounds and launching myself off some nice drops. Total blast. Some of the most fun I've had out there in years.
Awesome. We've been hit or miss with snow here in the Cities, but it sounds like it's pretty good up north. Going to get our 3-year-old out for a practice for the first time as well. Hoping within 2 years we can all go out at the same time. Right now it is just one of us that can go out with the 2 older kids at a time, so we go half and half for the day.

I got dibbs on the jewelry @Kburjr

I am the official owner of 6 Vikings season tickets. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me 17 times a year, shame on me.

I need a new car probably within a year or so. Hoping those prices settle down a little.
Prices are outrageous. I am hoping the bubble bursts. Used car prices are over 40% higher than last year. I was kinda looking at pickups last fall but with these prices forget that I am sticking with what I got till it blows up

I have two friends with kids turning 16 and they're really struggling. Nothing new is available and used prices are like new prices. Fucked up.

I was in that boat last summer looking for a car for my son. Prices were bad but nowhere near what they are now. I also have to say that I am shocked at how low inventory is when I drive by dealers right now

And “renting” a house they weren’t paying for. Good luck
I get that, but probate rules don't just say if you are owed money you can keep their shit. And likely whatever is in the house, considering they weren't even paying the rent, probably isn't worth the time it would take to sell it. Based on my experience his son will eat the $4k, maybe even have to pay to have someone clean the crap out of the house (or do it himself), and move on.

And frankly, I'm not sure where this rental is, but only being behind $4k during an eviction moratorium is probably doing pretty good all things considered. If renters have decided not to pay for 18+ months at this point, he's either wildly undercharging the rent or they didn't go too many months without paying.

Yeah that was a throw away statement. More interested in how it affects the COVID Relief application. The moratorium was lifted late last year and the tenants were served eviction notice.

Just a case of being a nice guy and getting screwed over. The newer lease was written as a remodeling labor plus $250/month rent.(yeah rents are that low in rural towns). As soon as the moratorium went into effect they quit paying. Both of the couple managed to get on disability so very little work was done.

Thankfully he has a buyer of the house lined up so the losses come to an end soon.

The tenants for the house that I manage for my son got killed in a car accident yesterday. Maybe I can collect the arrears from their estate.
Probably best to mention it at the wake and then collect it at the funeral.

did you let your stalker know?
