Ohio State crying about weather again

Aaannndd Michigan crushed Ohio State in the ice/snow and Michigan sucked vs a southern team. Ohio State needs team speed not just WR speed, it’s obvious and a retractable roof will help that happen PLUS if properly designed, it will give fans outside the stadium some shade on nice days while they drink their sorrows away from being stuck in the north.
Just take a nap, indoors, it will help your state of mind in these gawd awful months of winter.
Spoken like someone who has never lived in a cold weather state. There was no ice and if snow isn't accumulating -- it has zero effect on the game. Ohio State threw for over 400 yards. Weather has ZERO to do with why they lost to UM. They lost because they were charmin soft on defense and they folded once they were punched in the mouth.

And IF there is ice, snow, rain, wind, etc. -- BOTH TEAMS have to deal with it. What are the kids from warm weather states going to do at the next level? Tell the NY teams, Buffalo, Green Bay, Browns, Bengals, Steelers, Kansas City, Denver, Chicago, Washington, Philly.......i'm sure i'm missing a few others and say -- I won't play for you even if you draft me because it is too cold, it may snow, I don't like rain. :pound:

It is crazy to me how pathetically soft this generation is and I'm not even old, but I will be damned if my 8 year old is raised to be that soft.

Don’t forget the SEC, Big 12 and ACC making them look like gigantic pussies in 2020
I can't blame them for 2020. As someone who has had an uncle and a friend pass away from Covid -- I don't blame the B1G at all for almost cancelling the season. It was the unknown that made them do it and I commend them for putting the athlete's health over profits.

It is what it is though.

Bullshat. Piles and piles of white, fluffy snow!

No offense, but the comments come across as being EXTREMELY soft. If you want your games indoors -- get rid of the toilet bowl and build a dome.

The B1G, as a whole, has come across as soft in recent years. From complaining about the refs, the weather, the schedule being too hard. And this isn't calling out just OSU, but all teams in the B1G.
So you are saying no other conferences complain about refs, the weather or the schedule being too hard? Or are you implying that all conferences are coming across as soft to you since they all do exactly what you have stated.

Maybe it is because the B1G news is front and center for me, that it seems we have done a lot of whining (Michigan included).

That statement from OSU's AD really came off bad -- it makes OSU look soft. It also makes absolutely no sense, as OSU has an open air stadium. Maybe OSU can petition the NCAA to hold their games at their indoor practice facility going forward.

It was pure virtue signaling. They thought their clout would cause the rest of CFB to follow them. Only the limp wristed Pac did, and then they had to scramble to put a season together.

The B1G just needs to accept that they don’t have the SEC’s pull anymore

I think you are putting way too much thought into the decision. Shutting down the season was going to cost them an absolute fortune. To think they were going to do that 'just because' is assinine.

If they were truly doing it for safety, they wouldn’t have changed course when the real conferences said they were playing

Only issue with that is --the info was changing by the month, by the week, by the day. Think about how absolutely absurd it'd be for any conference to cancel one game, let alone a season, with the ridiculous amount of money they make.

It wouldn't make any sense at all.

If not for Nebraska, Iowa, Ohio State and even Notre Dame getting the ACC to play, the B1G would have canceled their season. It was a beta move. They know it. That’s why they formed that gay add alliance

From what we've observed, EVERY team needs 2021 Georgia DL like team speed. And it seems there ain't enough of those around to fill ALL the rosters.

A&M took more than their fair share this year...SEVEN. 3-5*s, 3-4*s and 1-3*.

Speed at other positions seems to be more plentiful. In fact, the new defenses favor LBs that can cover/tackle in space.

SEC fans: Our weather is better than yours so, of course, our teams are better.
Both statements are true, though unrelated.

Yet only one conference came to the 'shut it down' conclusion. And then one followed that lead because they are followers, not leaders.

Pretty much the plan. Get high end talent on the DL that goes at least two deep and you can rotate and win games through attrition.

Maybe not. But if you look at the revenue distribution, they've got a hell of a lot more to say about things than the ACC, Big 12 and PAC. The gap is significant isn't it? And money is king now in CFB.

UGA pretty well rode a great front 7 to a natty. Offense was good, not great, secondary was mediocre at best. You can still win a natty with a dominant front 7 and a decent offense.

The best secondary in the country is still gonna get torched if the front 7 can’t get to the QB

Again -- assume whatever you'd like. Reality is -- cancelling a single game would cost the school and the conference a fortune. Cancelling a season would cost them an absurd amount of money.

They wanted to look like they cared and appeal to the woke crowd hoping limp wrists that never watched football before would become B1G fans after the pandemic. They were pussies and they put their foot in their mouths. If they were really worried about safety, they wouldn’t have caved. Before they did cave, they wouldn’t allow the teams that did want to play temporarily join another conference. It was petty bullshit. They got put in their place. They’ll never be respected again
