Teams can send up whoever they want. Who wants to watch a defensive catcher come up and kill a rally? I go to a game and I want to want to watch Mike Trout hit, not Jack Fletcher.
My absolute dream would to to have teams pitch to themselves to assure fat meat pitches are thrown, but that may need a few years to implement.
And of course, bringing in the fences so we get more exciting HRs.
The DH doesn’t go far enough.

haha, that would be fun to watch in a new league. Maybe rather than moving the fences in, we just bring back odd shaped fields. Which field was it that had the bullpens in the left and right field of play, and the dead center had a cutout that went like 550 feet?
As for the no batting order, I'd love to see that as long as there was a "but you have to bat everyone before you bat someone twice". Put some strategy back in play. Do you keep your stud hitter in hopes others get on, or do you run out your normal 9-hole just to get him out of the way and try to put something big together next inning? That would be awesome to watch and armchair.

It was the same exact complaints back in 95 when the wild card came into play, once their teams are in the hunt for it then they will agree with it
