Ethereum is moving to proof-of-stake (PoS).

To fully realize the transition to PoS, Ethereum’s history on the PoW network will be preserved as the PoS consensus layer is merged in as a replacement for PoW. This will be done through what is known as “The Merge”. Once completed, the PoW consensus layer in Ethereum will be removed and consensus on all future blocks on the Ethereum blockchain will be achieved by the new PoS consensus layer. None of the transactions done on the Ethereum network will be lost in this transition - "The Merge" will have no effect on the data layer of the Ethereum network. "The Merge" is not the launch of a new Ethereum version, but rather an exciting upgrade to the consensus layer - bringing Ethereum in line with the original vision laid out at its genesis.

Are you sure PoS is Proof-of-Stake?

No new developers or investors have any interest whatsoever in Ethereum. It’s the Compuserve of crypto.

I'm not so sure that is necessarily true... at this point, anyway. The smaller crypto investor/speculator/miner might not really like it much, but there will be enough wanting to "get in". The move to ETH PoS will be interesting to see if/how it does "pan out".

Bought some ETH in November, 2020, then sold half of them during October 2021 for a helluva NICE profit. Things do change, but I'm okay with HODLing the remaining ETH and see what happens. :headbanger:

Interesting article from a Coindesk author....

There's a whole train of thought that ETH is massively undervalued vs. Bitcoin.

I'm not buying it. I see Ethereum as entrenched brand. Ethereum is Blockbuster and Polkdaot is Netflix.

Not sure if anyone is interested in this mining app. Is anyone already doing it?

I am sending you 1π! Pi is a new digital currency developed by Stanford PhDs, with over 25 million members worldwide. To claim your Pi, follow this link Pi Network and use my username (87lakers) as your invitation code.

Sold all of my LTC, BTC and ETH I bought as a newb on Robinhood. Moved that all to USD, then into Coinbase Pro and have it all in Tether waiting for BTC to dip to $41,600 fibonacci and am going to buy 1/2 AVAX and the other half between DOT and MATIC and move all of those into HODL mode on Celsius.

Remember that any BTC you have on exchanges is not real BTC. From that standpoint, Robinhood sucks.

Isn’t ETH 2.0 on the horizon that is light years faster?
