Is NET updated daily? IDK. But, I don't see how Wisconsin can be ranked behind all those 7 and 8 loss teams.

They're in the same boat as Providence in that NET draws from Ken Pom, which considers those 2 teams lucky, because they win by small margins, especially at home.

Scoring margin as a geek stat is fine, but I don't think it should influence strongly seeding. I understand why college football, they need to do it, but this is a 68 team tourney.

It would be interesting to see Wisconsin's efficiency numbers in the last 5 minutes of a game. Winning 14 close games in a row isn't merely luck.

My problem with these polls and their criteria is they don't take into account injuries, sickness, and even the fact most major conferences have too many teams to play a true round robin with every conference team in order for a true regular season crown.

I agree. That's why I just can't get on the Baylor bandwagon...at least for a tournament run. A game or two, yeah. But their injuries are significant.

And those "unbalanced" schedules can be significant in some years...and even the order of games in a season. B12 is only true round robin. And the order of those has gotten wacky with COVID. TCU and Kansas play twice in 3 days....tomorrow in Fort Worth and again Wednesday in Lawrence! WTF?

JJ, I just can't see Baylor as a #1 seed if they win the Big 12. Their gun is missing quite a bit of ammo.

Kansas I can see as a #1....depending on what happens elsewhere.
Kentucky beat Kansas at Kansas by 18 points. Hard for me to put them in a 1 spot.

Yeah AND they had a stretch where they had a lot of close games go their way. They could easily have 3-4 more losses.

I was just saying Kansas would be a more likely #1 seed in comparison to Baylor. While they have had some injuries earlier, they haven't been to the extent Baylor's have. I can see neither being a #1 seed. But like @Kburjr, when you look at all the possibilities they all have warts. Someone has to be a #1 seed.

Baylor lost to Bama by 9 so not impressed with them either but at least it was on the road.

So who should be #1 seeds in your illustrious opinion? Let me guess. Auburn, Kentucky, Tennessee and Alabama.

Arizona
Duke
Auburn
Kentucky
Well I got two of your four picks right. You only deserve 1/2 of an SEC Homer Card.

Since you were so good at nitpicking your "unimpressiveness" with Kansas and Baylor. I'll give my "I'm not impressed" a try.

Arizona just lost by 16 to frickin' Colorado. Not impressed.
Duke lost to a shitty Florida State team. Not impressed.
Auburn's lost 3 of their last 6. Not impressed.
Kentucky has Crapilari which underachieves with basketball talent about like Texas football does. Not impressed.
