MLB may have a deal in place.......

The average MLB bench warmer makes 4.7 million per year.
Go take a lap, halfwit.

The "average" salary is driven by the top earners. The median salary is $1.1 million, which is trending down despite ownership signing record TV deals and record franchise valuations. The bench warmers are making less than a million per.

I hope they don't starve to death.

ya ya ya ya

you'll still state your wish to watch the most incompetent players on the Braves to go the way of Old Yeller
That’s a given. I probably ain’t watching any games that don’t involve the Braves though.

I don't root for either side.

And then just this week said that they were willing to miss up to a month of games.

I think both sides have blame. But the owners definitely have been the bigger assholes in all this
The Players' Union is the strongest in all pro sports. The owners' culpability ends with not addressing the conditions in trying for a new CBA before the end of last season. The players have only ever wanted more mega-contracts, more guaranteed income, more roster spots and don't give a shit that there's little way to get there, given the already high ticket prices and lack of continuing interest from local cable networks to carry games.

Consider that owners have been forced to pay out the same massive salaries during the 2+ years of the pandemic, and yet have been able to fill only about 30% of seats. They are the evil bigger assholes??

In this round of negotiating? Yes.

How so? I'm only pissed at them for wanting the universal DH.
They purposely stalled negotiation talks for over a month so that this very situation would occur...

A very good point.

Can you blame them? The resulting CBA and ruleset will be more favorable to the players and be a less enjoyable experience for the fans. And again, there was no movement before last season's expiration by the players' union to fix anything either. Complaining about a month doesn't shift it to the owners' responsibility, IMO.

Those poor guys. How can they afford to live!?

The owners locked the players out, and then made no attempt to negotiate for a month and a half.

You think the ownership group in Pittsburgh that's just pocketing revenue sharing money and not trying to pay good players gives a fuck about the fan base?
