Hey Georgia and Alabama..

@CoalTrain , since you are a new Vol fan, I will cut you some slack but we have gotten 5-star QBs in the past that turned into total flops. I am in the wait and see approach.
 
Jarrett Guarantano was a top 5 QB recruit for Tennessee as an example (I think he was a very high 4-star and NOT a 5-star).

Harrison Bailey is another good example as well of a recent flop.
 
A player’s name can generally tell you if they’ll be a bust or not. DJ Uoogabooga had no shot of living up to expectations

You guys ain’t the only one in that boat. And often those five star QBs are shown up by three star guys that were “too short, too slow, too (fill in the blank” and went to “the lesser name school!

Oh things bouta change my man. Another thing we gonna be changing is the dog. Gonna go with the proper hound once the new one retires.

September 23rd in Knoxville. Mark that date, that is probably the most important game in Heupel's tenure. If we win that game, we start to be back. If not, things could start to get ugly.

The Pittsburgh game will also be critical.

It may not be THIS year but I do firmly believe that UT is gonna look like the eastern version of recent Oklahoma teams in the near future, particularly on offense.
Now, that may or may not equal championships BUT with SEC recruits.. it might, we’ll see. Either way it’s gonna be a far site better than what’s been in town for awhile now.
 
I mean y'all did throw an 8 million dollar deal at him to say yes..

- You do realize that there are 22 starters, 85 on the roster. So if you got 22 x 8 million more hanging around then good luck.

- Q: How many 5* QBs are actually aren't worth a shit? A: a bunch ... hope the investment was worth it.

- Looking like UGA or Bama is going to get the no. 1 QB in the class, so yeah, I'm guessing we are ready. But, good luck with that no. 4 rated QB ... seriously, if you are going to drop 8 million ffs, get the no. 1 guy, not the no. 4 guy.

- College football is a game of depth ... with the exception of Cam Newton, I can't remember a single player carrying a team to a natty. So, again, hope your money runs deep, year in and year out, because that is what it will take.

- You better hit while the iron is hot because either the NCAA is going to crack down on this, or everyone will be doing it. And you still have Pruitt issues to deal with.

Yeah -- I was thinking the same thing. For that kind of money -- you better be getting the best of the best, not the 3rd or 4th ranked guy at their position.

But -- if that QB can talk others into joining -- it may be worth it, but with the news out about the 8 million -- it is going to cost Tennessee a fortune to sign the others. :beer2:
