Vacation destinations...

Hell if I know. Whichever one has Honolulu on it
I'm headed that way in May and keep having to ask "which island are we going to again?". Still don't recall, just know the airport code is OGG :noidea:

That’s Maui. Hope that’s your intended destination.

Yep, when asked which island, all I can reply is whichever has Honolulu

My sister went to Seychelles a few years back and said it was one of thee best places she's ever been, but it's kinda pricey. Not really a water huts spot though. What about Atlantis w/the kids? Too crowded still?

Looked at Seychelles too. Probably comparable to Bora Bora in both beauty and price, but I feel like Seychelles would be even tougher to get to than Bora Bora.

Yeah, losing days to travel sucks. Especially on the way home.

Plus the thought of Pirates crossed my mind with Seychelles

My trip to Florida for a couple of weeks earlier this month was put on hold because of Pops Racer's deteriorating condition. The plan was to base myself at Rex Jr's place in West Palm to hang out with my new grandson and play some golf at The PGA National with my son and making the drive up to Ponte Verde with Rex Jr to catch the 3rd round of The Players Championship as well as a separate most likely solo trip up to Cape Canaveral to geek out at Kennedy Space Center. Gonna try to get that trip together in the fall minus attending the TPC at Sawgrass obviously, but will depend on whether I can talk pops into moving to an assisted living facility. Lots of golf, a couple of cruises on the company yacht plenty of chilling with Max and the pups.

For divers, once you've seen the Pacific, hard to come back to Caribbean.
Unless we're talking early-mid 90's Cozumel.

Also, I've been all over where there's clear water and I've still never seen water as clear as the Bahamas. We were seeing sand dollars on the bottom in 120' of water.

Cozumel not so perky these days. Got hit with the coral blight that tore down the Mezo American reefs. Shame what it did to a lot of reefs.

Breaks my heart to see what's happened to Great Barrier Reef. I went 2 years apart and it was almost unrecognizable. Places that had been stunning were just masses of bleached, dead coral.

Maldives having similar issue. Lots of dead coral. Red Sea missing all that so far. Same for most of Indonesia and Coral Triangle.

In a week and a half I am taking a vacation to a cabin in the country out in the middle of nowhere in rural Kansas. Nothing but me and the cattle and horses. Nearest person will be over a mile away, no tv and no internet.

Can't freaking wait.
I'll send someone over then to talk to you about your car's extended warranty.

Coz hasn’t been perky in 20 yrs. I snorkeled Chankanaab in 2019 and it was dead. Literally a few boring pelagic fish tooling around but zero color. No fish, no color! But great news: it’s now an amusement park. :L
