Would the Cardinals be considered a bandwagon move?

It's been over 10 years since they won it all, you good, but I'd give it another couple years. Portland is probably gonna land a relocating team.

Hell, even becoming a Yankees fan now wouldn't be a bandwagon move. They're not really a threat anymore since the Steinbrenner kids don't like spending daddy's money and the game has passed Cashman by.
Portland is a shit hole, I am rooting for the Blazers to relocate. A team coming to Portland would not make me an automatic fan, unless it happened to be an NHL team.

I'd think jumping on the Yankees would still be considered bandwagon just because of the brand itself and the market. No matter their record they are marketed as a prestigious franchise, which, even though the Cardinals are consistently good, don't get nearly the attention or marketing as the Yankees. (MLB's major flaw, lack of promoting anyone not named Boston, New York or Dodgers).

So Cardinals it is. You get the added benefit of talking shit to @Kburjr

Damn right.
Look At Us Paul Rudd GIF

but can someone tell me why they fired their manager? Sort of odd given he was winning a ton of games. Expectations so high in St. Louis that it's WS or bust? That is the level of the Yankees.
He didn’t promote getting blackout drunk in the clubhouse.

Every franchise has a culture.

Not everyone gets an invite. I just can't imagine OD as a Brewers fan.
I’ve only been to Miller Park once. Had a great time. Best parking lot in baseball IMO.

Incredible to think they've had one losing season during this millennium (and that was 78-84). And for how good some of those teams were (2015, 2004-05), the two that actually won WS trophies were rather meh

dying to get there. just realized they changed the name to "American Family Field" though, that's lame.

Naming rights and all that bullshit. It will.be Miller Park in my mind.

That is very disappointing.

Detroit is also a team im seriously considering.

1.) in the AL Central. Love this division as it’s nostalgic to following the Indians.

2.) Franchise/city in serious need of success.

3.) historic but not nearly as successful as other historic franchises.

4.) provides cold brisk nights in october.

5.) currently a roster showing the front office is invested in starting to win.

major con: the orange away hat/helmet. Drop the orange and keep the home hats as the only hat

You have to Murder a homeless woman in broad daylight or you aren’t in the club.

It’s a rule.

Yep. Same with "Oracle Park", it will always be AT&T Park in my mind.

History is fine, but as becoming a new fan, recency success is what is worrisome. I would've taken the Braves had they not won a damn WS last year. But by August of last season I was actively following Cardinals and Braves, hoping one would maybe fail to make the playoffs so that I could join the fan base and not look like a bandwagon. But the Cardinals went on a historic run to get to 90 wins, and the Braves go on and win the WS
Dont wanna look like a bandwagon fan?

Welcome to Cincinnati Reds fanhood, my friend.

Orange away hats and batting helmets??? I am unfamiliar with these hats you speak of...
