KMag back to Haas
Not a bad move for them. Probably one of the few experienced drivers that they could get short notice, plus he knows their system so no learning curve. Has had/caused some incidents in the past, but at least he won't be spinning out every race.

Gives an actual driver to compare Mick to as well.

Rough start for Red Bull, but cool to see Ferrari go 1-2, and a Haas car ever finished in the points.

Both Red Bull's just died.

Listened to the radio and Max was telling them something was wrong, basically it went:

Max: Guys, somethings wrong with the batteries
RB Pit: Batteries showing ok, they are good
Max: No they're fucking not!

Then his car just died. Then Checo's car died a lap or so later.

Great for the Ferrari's though, LeClerc ran a good race.

yeah Checo had less than a lap to go when his engine seized
Gasley who also uses their power plants had his car catch on fire.
Think I heard they think it has to do with the fuel pump or something.

Mercs really struggling. Hamilton out in Q1. Only two Mercs in Q2, Norris and Russell, currently 7 & 8.
Mick in a bad crash.

1 Mercedes power plant in the top 10, Russell at 6.

Checo takes pole.
1. Perez
2. LeClerc
3. Sainz
4. Verstappen

16. Hamilton.

How long has it been since Hamilton started that deep in the field?

Hot take. I’m not a huge fan of street courses.
For me it depends on the streets. I hate Monaco because it’s so narrow and you can’t really pass. Basically it’s all about pole position. If you get it and don’t fuck up, you win.
If it’s wider streets I’m ok with it.

Personally, I’d like to see them go back to the Nurburgring.

New team or buying out an existing team? NASCAR comes first for me, but I’ve always thought a 20 car field is a bit too small, especially when half the teams aren’t competitive
Looks like they will start first as engine suppliers (red Bull and McLaren have been mentioned).

As far as a new team, Andretti Racing is trying to enter a new team, they already have the funding etc and are trying to get F1 to approve, so it would be 22 cars then. I haven't seen what engines etc yet though, one place said Mario suggested it may be Renault, another said Ferrari is an option.

So far this season LeClerc be like:
