So NIL wasn't enough?

I don't see this one going anywhere. But, I never thought we'd have NIL, the transfer portal or a queer guy winning the NCAA Women's swimming either. So, what the fuck do I know.
A woman won, not a man. Sometimes doctors, nurses, and parents guess genders incorrectly at birth by invading the privacy of the babies by looking at their genitals. They are called "private parts" for a reason.

She has had a hard enough time in college, what with the rampant sexual abuse and harassment on campus. She doesn't need this too. You just hate winners.

You forgot green font.

Doesn't everybody?

85 Scholarship limit.

22 on 1st string
22 on 2nd string

That leaves 41 scholarships for 3rd string and below, no?
Are those full scholarships, or is this any scholarship?

Is there anything else within the 85 scholarship limit that's not a full ride?

There would be true freshmen, redshirt freshmen, and sophomores that make up the majority of those 3rd and 4th stringers that are on full ride scholly waiting their turn, no?

In most cases, juniors and seniors would likely be more developed and in their systems longer. i.e. more experienced, with better knowledge of schemes, and personal assignments.
Of course there are exceptions of underclassmen breaking through on pure talent, but they're the exception not the norm.

Of A&M's 2022 top ranked recruiting class of 30 players, what percentage do you think break through to the 2 deep this upcoming season as true freshmen?
Are they on some kind of 'partial scholarship' in the interim?

"How many scholarships do Division 1 football teams get?

Division 1 FBS teams can give out a maximum of 85 full-ride scholarships to athletes. Division 1 FCS programs can provide a maximum of 63 total scholarships. The 85 FBS scholarships are headcount scholarships, which means every athlete who receives a scholarship at the DI FBS level gets a full-ride scholarship."

I have no idea how football scholarships work. Baseball full rides are hard to come by, partials are the more prevalent option.

Yes, college baseball is a different animal.

"There are 297 colleges and universities participating in NCAA Division I baseball. Each school is allotted 11.7 full ride scholarships for its team. Because baseball is a designated equivalency sport, coaches are able to divide their 11 + scholarships into awards for up to 30 players." So 11.7 for the entire team.

Basketball is even different than that. They get 15 full rides.

"341 member colleges and universities make up the NCAA Division I. These are the powerhouse schools when it comes to all collegiate sports, and only the best and the brightest athletes will win scholarships to these elite institutions. The NCAA closely regulates the number of scholarships that a Division I school can offer. Division I women’s basketball programs are limited to 13 full tuition scholarships, while the men’s programs are capped at 15 full ride scholarships. That means only 13 women and 15 men will receive Division I basketball scholarships in any given year."

For men, only football and basketball have to be or are full-ride. Partials are the way most of them are handed out in other men's sports. I could be wrong, but I believe all women's schollies are full ride, but that is a Title IX thing where you have less women athletes but more are on full rides so as to match the full rides for men's sports, especially football's 85.

CA has a bill that would require schools in that state to split 50% of the revenue earned with it's scholarship athletes.. 50 P e r C E n T

lincoln might wanna take the Auburn gig soon enough

word is Narduzzi is going to air out Lincoln/SC for tampering while Addison is still not in the portal. They are expecting him to hit the portal though, and apparently this isn't the first attempt.. KY offered him 800k, allegedly, to transfer there which he declined.

The rumor is that they are offering him 2 mil to go to SC

So is it too much to hope for that he goes to USC, takes their $2 Million, pulls a hammy, sits out most of the season and then transfers to another school leaving USC high and dry for another payday? If I've got to watch this tampering BS I at least want to REALLY be entertained.

i mean it could play out that way as well.. never know since this is still the wild west era into the NIL generation.

This stuff is nuckin' futs!

But if people are willing to throw that kind of money at 'em w/o any performance criteria, they need to be in college if they turn it down.
