I absolutely understand the animosity behind your statement,
But the issue with those losers getting hit by a car because they ran a red is twofold ... or maybe more accurately two and a half fold ...

1. It's messy ... and blood is a bitch to get off asphalt ... and gross (the gross is the extra half).
2. The poor soul driving the car would probably be traumatized by killing someone, even though it ain't their fault.

I actually hate people who ride on the sidewalk more. I've come REEEEEAAAAALLLL close to getting hit by one of those assholes making a blind turn at night (among all the other times they nearly hit people).

That makes sense.
As a kid, I'd ride by bike on the sidewalk sometimes, but only during the day, and I never hit or even came close to hitting anyone.
No one around here rides their bikes on sidewalks, at least except for little kids, and even then it's rare.

The ONLY bicycles that should be allowed on sidwalks are the small ones with the small training wheels on them... NOT some grown-azzed bicyclist too fraidy-cat to ride it on the streets like it was intended to be.

Word, little kids can bike on the sidewalk all they want, but once you're comfortable on it you need to get into the street
i ride where i want! especially the bike paths

Probably like this everywhere, but Chicago it's also plain illegal for anyone over 12 to bike on streets. Not like that'll stop anyone, but at least if that idea gets push back you can respond with "it's the law."

When I was in NY it did seem like people were good about using bike lanes, though.

We use em when we got em. Be nice to have a lot more of them, but that's not feasible

Little kids are the best to knock off their bikes...they fly farther and cry louder.

Wish we had more of them, but I get how it's just not feasible. Hell feels like half the northside can't even get two lanes of traffic going one way because of how close the buildings are to each other.
