tOfficial 2022 NFL Draft Thread

Thought I’d miss Rick Spielman being in the division.

Clearly I was wrong.

I handled about ten minutes of Greenberg. Then it was NFL Network for me.
Didn’t know NFL Network was covering it. Put it on ESPN so I could hit the recall button to between the draft and the Braves game

Williams, St Brown, Chark and Hock. Not too shabby at all. Let's see what Goff can do with it.

How's the OL?
Our OL is stacked -- it is our best position group. Jonah Jackson was named to the Pro Bowl last year at Guard. Frank Ragnow has been to the Pro Bowl. We drafted the top OL in Penei Sewell last year and our other tackle is Taylor Decker -- our 1st round pick from 5 years ago.

Clowney was a menace in college. Didn’t opt out of SCar’s also ran bowl either and made one of the most iconic plays of the last decade in said bowl game. He got paid and and lost his edge
Clowned basically opted out his final season. He played not to get hurt and didn’t give a fuck about winning.

The Bears haven't done a whole lot, at least I don't remember hearing much about their FA moves, so 3rd is possible.

And not sure what the Vikes are doing....if everything breaks right maybe y'all compete with them for 2nd maybe?

It will be another year or two before they are competing as they need to build up the defense. If Jeff Okudah comes back and finally plays like a top 5 pick -- our defense won't be terrible. We shall see.

  • NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Aaron Rodgers wanted the Packers to draft Arkansas WR Treylon Burks.

Pat McAfee added that Rodgers also liked Alabama's Jameson Williams. We're sure Rodgers is handling the first night of the draft well. Burks was ultimately taken by the Titans with the No. 18 overall pick. The Packers hadn't made their first pick at the time, so it's understandable that they didn't land Rodgers' top receiver. However, it was almost shocking that they chose not to take a receiver with either of their two first-round picks. Green Bay holds a pair of second-round picks in addition to plenty of selections later in the draft. They can still land a starting receiver or two tonight, but their opening round left plenty to be desired on the offensive side of the ball.

The top six receivers were gone before the Packers drafted at #22. Instead of reaching for a lower caliber QB in round one they went with value and will wait until later to get one. The two defensive players they drafted were quality picks.

The top six receivers were already selected before the Packers first pick. It is understandable why they decided to wait until the second round instead of reaching for a 2nd tier receiver in round one.

Lions No. 12 pick WR Jameson Williams (ACL) said he expects to be ready for training camp.

Williams tore his ACL in the National Championship, which took place in January. Being ready for training camp would be a quick recovery, though it's a realistic timetable if everything goes well. The injury was expected to impact his rookie season, even if it doesn't directly cost him time. A return for training camp would leave his first NFL offseason mostly unscathed. If that is the case, he should be able to step into an immediate role as the Lions' primary field-stretcher and a high-impact playmaker. Williams' recovery will be monitored closely once training camp kicks off.

LETS GO LIONS!!!

Kind of want KW3 at 46 but I’d be happy w a number of LBs, CBs and S. Lots of good names still out there.

Just need to trade with Bears so they can get a WR to torch our Secondary as well.

At this point I’ll be surprised if they don’t trade w the Bears.
