tOfficial 2022 NFL Draft Thread

I see the heart in Hutch. I don’t see the skill. Got completely shut down by a day 3 tackle in the biggest game of his life. I see a try hard that shrinks when the moment gets big
I could see that too. But I'll take a guy with heart and a motor that won't quit over a guy who shuts it down at the first notion it might be tough.

i told a friend yesterday. If you like Clowney you will like Hutch...

left it at that
You equate Clowney and Hutch? I think Clowney is more Thibs. Thibs is also like Chase. A few monster plays in college going against Saturday-only tackles and then nothing else 90% of the plays.

There’s always a chance the more talented guy becomes motivated. You can’t teach natural talent

Clowney was a menace in college. Didn’t opt out of SCar’s also ran bowl either and made one of the most iconic plays of the last decade in said bowl game. He got paid and and lost his edge

I've coached multiple kids who have more talent than anyone on the roster but aren't willing to shut up and listen. Not at the professional level of course, but give me a kid who tries and is coachable over an entitled diva any day. And Thibs is a diva through and through.

in the big moments he made a big play, the rest of the time he was just another body out there. Just as he is in the NFL.

Nice.

Where you at?

hawaii.

that’s at a restaurant at the Kahala Hotel. It’s not far from Waikiki and just down the road from my place over here. We go there a lot to eat. Great spot. They actually have dolphins that swim in an area just outside the hotel rooms.

And I’d rather have a guy that only shows up in big moments than a guy that disappears when it matters most

Ok. Give me the guy there for 90% of the time, you can have the guy there for the 10%.

I’d rather have a diva who is capable of producing

Hutch gave it everything he had in the biggest game of his life and he got shut completely down by a tackle that will at best go in the third round

The rest of the Lions DL will be happy to have Hutch getting schemed into oblivion as it opens the lanes for the rest of them. Mich didn't have the others, so its pretty easy to gameplan one guy away in college.

That other Michigan edge rusher was gonna be a first round pick before he hurt his knee. He got shut down too. NFL o-lines won’t have to scheme for Hutch. Jamaree Salyer handled him by himself

Kiper ripped it? What, upset that Tyler didn't hire his marketing firm to promote him?
Kiper never played the game or even scouted for an NFL team but thinks he is the most qualified person to rate future draft picks. The guy has an ego larger than the Grand Canyon.

And runs a business where players can pay him to put them higher on his big board. It's pretty amazing he gets away with it.

Last night was the first time I ever watched the first round of the draft. Gotta say, was not impressed with the experts

It's a game they play. there will always be one expert that loves the pick and one that hates it. That way the network is always right on 100% of the calls and everyone can listen to the talking head they want.
