oh man.. i remember ou twitter making fun of ESPN plus not too long ago as they were still championing their BallySports/FSSW deal. They get a LHN-lite deal and it's a great thing now?

Like I said before.. we'll be in the SEC for the '23 season

I never heard of Bally Sports until this year. But I've heard of ESPN for like the last 30 years. It will be cool to get OU content all in one place and on any devise anywhere in the Country anytime you want.

only thing that sucks with espn plus is on gamedays when multiple games are playing.. it's not as easy to switch from ABC/FS1/NBC to the plus

I used my old ps4 and would just hit the aux button when i wanted to surf different games

I have a much nicer TV and a new ps5 so i will have to configure how I want to do it now. I can't do it through xfinity, takes too much time

So....like the BTN but worse?

Not really like BTN.
HULU raised their prices $5/month but added ESPN+ and Disney+ to where they're no longer an option.

I'd expect more of this with other programs even though they're also in a conference network.

This is big news and could give OU the power to leave early for the SEC.

I can't see, on a work computer. Is this basically like an OU section on ESPN+ to watch all things OU?

If so, I have been wondering when that shit is coming. The B1G should have been doing that. There should be no issue with streaming every game and searching by team.

some of the cameras and of course, announcing teams are a disappointment. I've had it since it became available so I could watch boxing. But it's grown by leaps and bounds from 4 or 5 years ago.

BTW a rumor i read a while back was that once the move is made.. ESPN was going to make the LHN network into another SEC channel. Originally it would focus on the 8 schools in the west (ut,aggy,ou,lsu, mizzu, ole ms, ms)

have no idea if that idea gets scrapped because of the pods

The other big12 schools have had their 3rd tier rights through ESPN plus for a while now. Hell they even did a show around Les Miles at KU.

ou couldn't since it was tied into it's deal with FSSW/Ballys

I'd more expect the LHN to be demoted to an ESPN+ option similar to what Oklahoma's doing.

That's basically what the LHN's always been anyway, but ESPN got ass-raped on the deal.

glad you care about ESPNs pockets lol, seems like they aren't hurting

LHN is carried by more providers than even the PAC channel was. So you think ESPN just pulls it off air?

Hold up, homie.
No need to get all defensive about the LHN.
I suppose you could link my comment about the LHN/ESPN deal to me caring about "ESPN's pockets". LHN wasn't available on ANY tier of Cox Cable in Nebraska and most likely not available in other states excluding TX. My understanding is it was available as an $$ extra option on some satellite companies.
I assume ESPN made up the massive loss by charging Cox (and other cable companies nationally) more to bundle things like ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN Classic, etc. So yeah, it likely cost consumers extra that didn't give a shit about it and wouldn't have tuned in even if it were free. i.e. People of Oregon were paying for it through their cable company even though they had no access to it, nor cared about it.

My point is this ESPN+ Oklahoma deal is no different than the LHN. It's primarily sports content at your fingertips that no one outside of the respective fan bases cares about. Who in (fill in a state) cares about Texas Women's Tennis other than a donghorn fan. Who even buys tickets to that event other than family and a few friends?
Like I said I'd expect more of these kinds of deals going forward regardless of Conference Network affiliations. Hence ESPN+ getting bundled on HULU's platform. LHN will simply be moved to ESPN+ where everyone else will be.
Hopefully they put a priority on featuring more college baseball. I'd tune into the ESPN+ Oklahoma channel for something like a Arkansas/Oklahoma baseball series.

LHN is not available on HULU.

It will be if/when they move it to an ESPN+ channel.

i.e. No different than the Oklahoma deal.

As much as I despise ESPN if it helps OU get some cash and I can get all things Sooners on the channel I’ll subscribe begrudgingly

ESPN+ being a standalone app makes it impossible as far as I can tell. Using the PS5 causes "app switcher" issues. Works better on AppleTV but still have to leave one app and launch the other. And ESPN+ UI sucks. Even with my favorite teams it won't auto offer those games. + is where I watch all the Aggie baseball games so I love ESPN+. But sucks not being able to easily surf during commercials.
