GAME #1 Bama @ TX | 11CT | FOX

Bama coaching in this game was confusing. Not really sure if Bama had that shitty of a game or Texas just played their nuts off. Texas outplayed Bama the first half. Probably the first 3 quarters. Had they not lost QB1, likely would've had the win. Deja vu? Yes, many bad calls and no calls. Most in favor of Bama. Perhaps Texas really is back. The other option is Bama isn't as good as we thought this year. I know as a Sooner, I shouldn't even think it, but if Texas brings that game to the RRSD next month, they're getting the W.
 


Evidently some Bama players were doing the "Horns Down" sign and Nick didn't like that.

Who does Bama play next week? They got a rough game waiting for them.
 
I watched this game with a group of Bammers and here are some of their comments:

- Offensive line is terrible this year
- We’re not disciplined
- How is our best back from GT
- We are officially rebuilding
- The refs had it in for us
- I knew this was going to be a close game (total lie)

Thats just a sampling they can’t enjoy anything.

Couple thoughts on Bama
1. Wow, undisciplined… that will get fixed
2. OL is mediocre. Clemson has proved a great QB can mask that, but you don’t want to bet on it
3. Bill O’Brien is going to get Young killed. He hates to run the ball. Bama started out running well and stopped after a couple short runs
4. WRs are not great. Actually thought the young back-ups looked better
5. Pretty clear that Sark’s game plan was to attack the corners. He was right. The deep ball is open… if you can hit it. Might be ant to run some more zone

They were making up for the no call pass interference on the same series.

It was a terrible call and the refs missed quite a few, but Texas didn’t lose because of the refs. I believe Texas scored 16 pts in 5 red zone trips. WR dropped a TD, DB dropped an int, FG blocked, RB goes out of bounds on last drive, CB misses a sack. The refs were bad, but you can’t make mistakes if you want to beat Bama. The fact is it was a 1 pt game, it’s easy to say 1 play made the difference

You played good enough to win and we played bad enough to lose...sometimes the better team on the day doesn't win.

I didn't like any of it, but I'll take the result and move on, but if things don't improve quickly this team is a pretender.

Hopefully, Ewers isn't out too long.

The only saving grace is through two games, only Georgia looks like they are for real.

This could be a blessing for Bama. They have been reading press clippings all off season about being perhaps the best Bama team. Now Saban gets to point at the screen in the film room and scream his midget head off, while being 2-0..

Saban will tear some players ass up. He was pissed at the end there...."Don't do that shit!"
