tbf, it's not just football.

@PnkPanther s favorite soccer team's female commentator is fucking brutal. She actually played the sport too, which is fucking wild because she has a very um, loose understanding of the rules of the sport or it's tactics. Thankfully, I get the away broadcast a lot of the time. I'd shoot myself in the head if I had to listen to her full time.

Knowledge isn't the job. The job is to entertain and inform the audience. You can be the most knowledgeable football person in the world, but if you can't deliver content to the 250 lb regional sales dude sitting on his ass, you're worthless at your job.
 
Also, lol at anyone watching espn for informative sports discussion. ESPN is only good for live sporting events. SVP's late night show is decent, but I ain't staying up that late during the week. And the few decent radio shows they had have been gone for years now.
 
I am waiting for a female Howard Cosell.

I think what really sounds forced is nearly 100% of women's sport being announced only by women.

Not a fan of multiple taking heads yelling over each other either but I’d like to imagine there is a TV producer out there capable of pairing a half way decent recap duo without checking off all of the current woke boxes.

Really not too much to ask for.
