He's a pioneer at using the portal to flip a program. No one can take that away. That's what makes it so novel and has all the buzz. The next guy who does it won't get a peep. He could do exactly the same thing and no one will be offering them commercials or spots on 60 minutes.
I need to see a lot more out of how he responds to this loss, and the ups/downs of the rest of the season before I weigh in on his overall 'coaching'.

I think will see more and more coaches do it as we get more into the transfer portal era. I think many might be more reluctant to try to completely strip the program they're coming from of all its talent. But I think any coach with some recognition and networking experience can clean house and start over to some degree.

He got people talking about them because of him. He made his name as a polarizing superstar talent and personality. He brought that with him, obviously not everyone can bring that.

I think he'll do fine, he'll be able to bring in players, he's proven he can run a winning program. Definitely not sold that only he and a handful of elite coaches could accomplish this kind of start though. We'll see how the rest of the year goes, but hell, if it goes like this and they win 5-6 games, Sark did did that his first year at UW without the transfer portal or name recognition. And that guy is still trying to prove he's more than just a pretty good coach.

I agree about the comedy aspect though, got people pissed off that he and his kids have nice cars for fucks sake :lol:

They beat three shitty teams (all Deion) and got trounced by a decent one (nothing to do with Deion). “talent gap”

We’ve endured weeks of Deion insanity. Nonstop, relentless, in-your-face bullshit. Colorado gets stomped in their one and only test of the season and if we ask what makes Deion so great, we’re haters.
