11/14 CFP Rankings Thread 9pm ET ESPN

Have a mediocre out of conference, then start playing each other and magically they are great.

It’s probably driving them nuts to have to keep Alabama behind Texas.

And what the fuck is Tennessee even in the top 25 for???
Next year UW is in the B1G. Adds to some of that clout. How many times have they built up Wisky on the backs of a weak div schedule?

College football is a joke sometimes.

The only arguments I can make for Tennessee in relation to the view of the CFP (not my view). CFP loves the SEC, they only have 3 losses, and they beat Kentucky and Texas A&M. I am not saying they are great wins. Two of the Vols losses are to the teams that are ranked #8 and #9. If they are going to say that recency matters, that loss to the Gators was decades ago. That's all I got for you. Thank you very much. Yours truly, Boo Corrigan.

FSU over Washington makes zero sense, tbh.

Wins vs #5 Oregon, #17 Arizona, #22 Utah> win over #15 LSU

this sport sucks, lmao. its a train wreck and that is the real reason why we watch it.

I’ll say it now. The PAC gets left out of the playoffs this year.
If UW pulls off an unbeaten year, there’s no way they can be left out. If they don’t, it’s likely, considering as it sits now in week 11 UW with the best resume is #5. They’ve for sure set themselves up to say 12-1 Michigan/OSU/Georgia get the nod before a 12-1 UW/oregon.

Only if WSU and OSU pull upsets over the next few weeks.

- tOSU/UM are very likely to have one undefeated ... have each other then Iowa.
- FSU has to get by Lousiville, and the UF game is in the Swamp.
- UGA has UTjr, the Bama and UGA play.
- Tejas has looked beatable all season, they have Texas Tech and then who knows who in the CCG
- If you run the table you are in. If Oregon beats you, then they may get in. If either loses to OSU/WSU, you are out.

Most likely is the B1G winner.
UGA should run the table, but @UTjr and then Bama in CCG ain't an easy task as well as we are playing.
Bama really looks like they have gotten better as the season goes on. They have @Auburn where we know anything can happen, and then will be a slight dog to the Dawgs.
I'd guess that FSU and Texas run the table.

What do you think about the WSU and OSU games for you and Oregon?

They will jump them if they win out, IMO.

Adds clout, but you play a way tougher schedule and with the B1G being divisionless will have a top 3 team in the CCG should you get there.

Utah losses: #5, #6, #11
Tennessee losses: #8, #9, NR

Utah wins: 6 against P5
Tennessee wins: 4 against P5

Common opponent:
Utah won by 13
Tennessee lost by 13

Makes a lot of sense for Tennessee to be ranked 4 spots higher.

why aren't they ahead of them as it currently stands?
Should be, IMO. FSU is getting a lot of imaginary credit for wins over LSU and Clemson that were a big deal when they happened, but not so much anymore.

Tennessee isn't any good.

A way tougher schedule? Did you miss the part about UW has the most currently ranked wins and still has one to go not considering the championship game?

Did yo miss the part about UW playing the following next year?

Michigan Wolverines (although they will likely be without a HC, and most of the team transferred after getting bitch slapped)
at Iowa Hawkeyes
USC Trojans
at Penn State Nittany Lions
UCLA Bruins
at Oregon Ducks

Then you get to play tOSU or the 1st or 2nd best teams in the B1G.

That's tougher than anything you've ever played.

The Oregon State game is rough for several reasons. This is the last home game for Oregon State as part of the Pac12 and possibly ever as a P5. They blame UW and Oregon for the conf breakup. If they found a way to beat both UW and Oregon they are in the CCG so they have a lot to play for.

UW is capable of winning that game, but it's not going to be a rollover easy day in Corvallis.

WSU is pretty much dead in the water. Coaches are crying about all sorts of stupid shit, players heading to the portal. I think it's a bloodbath that last game.

Oregon should win this week again and then finish with the beavs at home. If UW loses to them, the beavs will be very fired up for that game. Either way Oregon should win unless something weird happens.

That looks about as tough as what they face this year
