The greatest hire in American Sports History was made. Nick Saban is a savior and it’s been an amazing 15 years. After the Dubose/Fran/Shula years and Mike Price loving whores…Saban was needed.

Also wanna give a shout-out to Paul Finebaum….without him talking shit about Rita Rodriguez none of this would have been possible. He changed the game.

I remember this day well. Can't believe its been 15 years already

You mean they fired Mike Shula and named an interim coach before bowl games were over?

No way!!

@michaeljordan_fan says firing coaches before bowl games only started when they instituted 'Early Signing Day' in 2017.

Without us Firing Shula we would have never gotten Joe Kines telling us all to worry about the Inside Trap. Lets count our blessings.

A dark day in college football history

I think there needs to be a forced retirement at 65 for college head coaches. I also don’t think anyone over 65 should be able to run for president, but that’s a different discussion

Should be a state holiday, except in Lee county

How many of these threads will be started today?

Price leaving WSU for Bama and never coaching a game because of buying hookers on Bama's credit card was some really funny shit.

Does UTEP know he was never their head coach?

Okay, maybe you meant never coaching at Bama

FAKE NEWS!!! I'll believe none of it!!

@michaeljordan_fan says coaches weren't fired before bowl games prior to Early Signing Day beginning in 2017.
That there's been a "Dramatic Increase" in firing coaches before bowl games since ESD was passed.

Of course he's given zero examples of this "Dramatic Increase" from 2017-2021, and if you prove the vast majority of coaches have always been fired before bowl games then "You're a retard".

Nebraska was pesky this year. Here's a hot take -- I think Nebraska in that same environment, at home at night, beats Cincy. I'm sorry, I just thoroughly don't respect the G5 teams that get ranked highly every year. They play garbage teams all year.

Nope. Nebraska finds a way to lose. Just like they found a way to lose the other 9 games.

The Miami Dolphins are who Bammers should be thanking. Going into Saban's 2nd year, they were expected to make the playoffs and were looking at signing a QB. Drew Brees was available and Saban wanted him. The Dolphins didn't listen (likely because Brees was coming off shoulder surgery) so they decided to sign Dante Culpepper (who was recovering from a knee injury).

Culpepper never fully recovered from his knee injury, ended up getting benched, the Dolphins missed the playoffs and the rest, as they say, is history.

If the Dolphins had listened to Saban...he is likely still in the NFL.

Not even close.
