GAME #17 TCU @ #19 Kansas 11:00 AM FS1

Or, the Big Networks could just put the BEST Big Xii games in the BEST slots. This game has kept folks tuned in from jump, which is better than losing an audience in a 49-0 thud. Choose by quality, not by uniforms.

The new Big Xii will be just fine, and the diversity will be appreciated IMHO. Oklahoma should not be chosen for another ABC or FOX spot this season, but they will. It's so shameful, it makes me shake my head.
I’m sure ABC already took Oklahoma/Texas before even started. Not surprising Fox takes Michigan over TCU/Kansas.

Okay, Zero OTs. Duggan from Nebraska and Iowa’s back yard - What a miss at QB.

I am thinking the main Fox (this game was better than Michigan @ Indiana) or ESPN2 (which is showing MLB) could have picked it up.
Yea they aren’t putting Kansas/TCU over a MLB Playoffs game. I’m sure the MLB contract was done long ago

Networks will always choose games like that because of the tradition but more often then not these teams are ranked and good. Have more then one season in almost 25 years of both these teams being unranked and sputtering you’ll see less of these games on national tv.
It's a different kind of thinking.

As a neutral, I'd rather watch TCU beat Kansas 38-31 in a battle of undefeated first place teams than a 49-0 drubbing by a 1 loss team over a 2 loss team in the same conference.

Call me crazy, but that's what I did today!

FTR, if they choose the Oklahoma @ ISU game for either an ABC or FOX game, I'll have a face palm TOO! That game should go to the bottom of the options that week!

Well, enough of this.
On to TT @ Oklahoma State.
Guns Up!

Piss on you TCU, yall couldnt go for 2 to win by 8 against a bunch of Kansas backups?!?!

MLB Playoff Games definitely deserve first billing, even on a CFB Saturday!

I get what you mean, but more often then not the 38-31 doozy between the 2 ranked teams is Texas and OU and not TCU and Kansas. That is exactly why these games are on. I wish like hell TCU and Kansas was on national tv because they deserved it. But alas they need to stay ranked and be good and it’ll come.

ESPN 2 was not even an option with MLB Playoff contract and rightfully so!

I have no issue with Michigan @ Indiana being chosen by FOX.

It's the internal Big Xii stuff that annoys me. I understand that ABC had RRSO hard-coded before the season, but they should have some discretion, especially when there are two unefeated teams in first place playing on the same day, and one of the shootout teams was shooting blanks.

Oh well, just the way it is!
On to the TT @ Oklahoma State game.
Guns Up!

Maybe he can play for the Cyclones tonight, if he is not too tired?
:)

And I get your point, but I expected a dud in Dallas and a hum-dinger in Lawrence. This year is what counts. I watched the entire TCU game and didn't ever turn the channel to the RRSO. It's not like the outcome of these games was a surprise based on the season so far this year - which is what really counts.

Tough loss. Looked like holding on the final play, but you kind expect silliness from college refs. Made way too many mistakes prior to that. Namely the fumble on the 1.

Networks truly don’t care. It’s about eyeballs. OU/Texas will outdraw TCU/Kansas. Want that to change? It’ll take years.

Well, I feel for the eyeballs who watched the OU-Texas game over the TCU-Kansas game. Minus the "Eyes of Texas", of course! I'm sure they didn't miss a play. :)

Those deep throws from the QBs. That play making from the receivers. Damn that was something else. Wow. What a game.

Haha agreed. But again, waaaaaaaaaay more often then not that 49-0 is the TCU/Kansas game and that ranked matchup that ended 38-31 is the red river shootout.

I'm not sure what a cheeseburger means, but I am on pins and needles with the ISU game! :)

Also Nov 7th can’t get here soon enough. (I say that now)
Hope it is a day game, so I can go to Ames! Otherwise, if it is a nighter, I'll have to be on Game Thread duty again! Unless, you want to take control of that yourself?
