The major issue is that DBs shoulder bump tackle. Wrap your arms at the ribs or chest.

90% of the time, if the tackler wraps up, they won’t make a targeting call. Even if he does hit with his crown. In this specific case, he didn’t. He tucked his arms into his body and led with his shoulders and top of his head.

That's a tough loss. Any time you lose a game by 6 when you twice had 1st and Goal on the 1 and didn't score is rough.

Still, I thought we looked pretty good for the most part. The front 7 dominated Penn State. Dotson is a worse matchup than pretty much any WR we will see. The offense had a decently rough day, but 43 minutes of possession and 365 yards against that defense could be a lot worse. If these guys can beat Notre Dame (which they are more than capable of), they should be favored every game the rest of the schedule.
