King isn't a sure thing and the guy is still frail.. You really gonna bank on a true freshman stepping in and winning? Jimbo's offense is apparently wizardry and takes a season to get down. Is Weigman playing ball the spring? If so that takes him away from spring snaps. Portal QB is perfect since he has experience in case King gets hurt early in the season again.

Gotta let Weigman redshirt, no need to rush him in this early

From a fan standpoint I totally get it. From Maxs' perspective is the one I don't understand. He knows he is stepping in with major competition.

yeah and as a TE.. aggy has to be one of the top 2 or 3 places for a TE to want to go to. Probably #1 for a bluechip rated player.
