If Kenny Clark was so good, why was it so easy to run on the Green Bay defense?

Asking for a friend.

Didn't Dez turn down like 10 mil?

Because the outside linebackers don't keep contain.

Because he was their only good DT.

Eh I'll give it a B grade.

Clark is about the only reason the Packers weren't the worst run defense in the entire league last year and with Rodgers on the way out in a couple years, they'll have the money to support the contract with rookie Love.

That said, there's a massive DANGER to giving a defensive lineman who is already a heavy guy this kind of a contract. These players can get fat/lazy VERY quick. It's only a 4 year contract and Clark is pretty young, but there's DEFINITELY a risk this contract does not materialize. Clark is a great player and arguably one of the better front 7 players on the Packers D (if not the best player) and he's invaluable to the scheme they run.

Nearly $20M per year for arguably the best nose tackle in the league is a steep price. I will argue that just like Kittle (who I also gave a B grade) he is needed for the Packers D especially as they move on from Rodgers but this in no way for the position was a bargain contract IMO. It's not BAD by any means, but I reserve A grades for steal signings or 1 year prove it deals... so I can't give one here.

Cowboys cut HaHa Clinton Dix not even 6 months after signing him
:loldog:

Mickey Loomis is the most creative GM in the league at finding ways to sign players with little to no room.

Prove me wrong.

Dalvin Cook gets a 5 yr $63 million extension

Cooper Krupp signed an extension as well. 3 year 48 million dollars.
