2021-2022 Top 10

Here's my best guess at an initial Top10 for next year. Obviously with all the shuffling, it's all gonna change, but even without the transfer portal, it's almost anybody's best guess this year...

1. Ohio State
2. Duke
3. Gonzaga
4. Michigan
5. UCLA
6. Kentucky
7. Kansas
8. W Virginia
9. Villanova
10. Oregon

If anybody has anybody to add, I had a hard time coming up with even 10.

You misspelled "Nebraska" somewhere in there.

One thing I will say....

If Purdue(Espn has them here) is fucking the 3rd best team in the country next year, I might have to become a Womens Volleyball fan or something because next year will suck.

Don't get me wrong, that team is solid but 3rd?!/!??!?!?. They were the poster child any time I wanted to justify to myself that the big 10 this past year was probably a little overrated.

Williams is a beast but hes 1 dimensional as fuck(and can't make free throws), Eddey is your standard Purdue 7 footer(but doesnt even start), then its a bunch of role guys. Literally.

I think Ivey has an NBA future. And they were really young last year. Plus Painter is a great coach. And they have two top 50 kids coming in. It's going to be another year where the blue bloods are questionable outside of UCLA. Duke has a couple studs coming in, so they should be much improved. UK, Kansas, IU, UNC, MSU all with question marks.

Bruh...Bama fucking all y’all up next year. We only lose 2 key contributers(John Petty and Herb Jones) but all other major contributers come back and we add the #3 recruiting class. Also are expected to add Nimari Burnett who is a former 5* McDonalds AA

feel like UNC is ranked too high

Virginia Tech stood out to me. I know they return a lot but I thought they were overvalued this year

VT will be interesting for me. They are going to be really old. And will have a bunch of shooters around Aluma. They were killed by covid pause. I think they only played 2 games in February. And didn't play in March leading up to the ACC tournament. Never could really find a rhythm once that happened.

i didn't even notice Virginia Tech. They were a top 50ish team last year, nothing special. Definitely should not be in any pre-season top 25 rankings.

Nova goes to like 1.

Yea, crazy. Gillespie I expected to a degree, Samuels was completely unexpected.

I think Top 5. I do think in ruins the continuity a little, but for next year only it's a win.win.

With the amount of roster attrition, this list looks as good as any. And with that said there are still some big names left in the portal; Garcia, Carr, Kofi, Tre Mitchell, Moussa Cisse. I think when it's all said and done Arizona will be a top 25 team, and I've said it before but I'm bullish on Wazzu. I think they probably deserve to be listed among the next 5 out. Especially over Xavier IMO.

I agree about Xavier, not sure why they were considered at all.

I think the rankings are fine for now, knowing that things will change when the big transfers finalize their decisions.

Arizona is a hard team to gauge. A lot of changes and I doubt they are done with the transfer portal. I'm going to wait until the end of the summer to see what they got but I agree, they could easily be a top 25 team by the start of the season.

As for Wazzu, they could certainly be on the rise. But going from 14-13 (7-12) to top 25 contention is a big jump. I see them as a Bubble team.
