So... Bonds shouldn’t have cheated then.Bonds was a Hall of Famer before he started juicing. After 1998, the list of players with 400 career homers and 400 career steals looked like this:

You want to not acknowledge the home run records, that's completely understandable. But Bonds went from a Hall of Famer to the best hitter ever because of steroids. He wasn't elevated from a so-so player to a superstar.
Okay, here’s the compromise: MLB vacates all of Bonds’s stats through 1998. Bonds publicly acknowledges he was a filthy cheater and that Hank Aaron’s HR record was never broken by him. THEN, he can get into Cooperstown with pre-1999 stats alone.
