2022/23 PAC-12 Power Rankings (Week 5)

Which ones?
Why aren't they better wins than Oregon's?
FCS teams that both won in blowouts
3-2 Oregon State
1-4 Arizona State
2-3 San Diego State
or
4-1 WSU
4-1 16BYU
1-3 Stanford

Why do you think WSU, BYU, & Stanford, are better than Oregon St, Arizona St, & San Diego St?

Have they played each other?

i dont believe Riley is that good of a coach yet. he was handed Oklahoma playoff ready made. in his time there they declined. I wanted to see him build and sustain. seen a lot of coaches get a good team and after a few years they arent what they were. so far hes proving himself.
lot of offense he brought in and thats paying off. USC needed defense help. he wasnt exactly known for defense.

lol

Nice try. Everyone had them ranked higher than you did.

Just admit you relied on last year and not what they had done to change the roster and staff despite your claims here that you don't consider last year.

in what world has any of those teams looked better?

as i said i dont consider last year now. we had no sample size to go on before other than last year. now we have 5 games.
and again as i said i did consider the roster changes and said 9 wins possible and likely. also they havent gotten to any of the games i thought would likely be losses. other than the super early thoughts i put out about Arizona State. and after more came out i dropped them. still had utah, ucla and ND as losses still do and said prob drop another they shoulndt

So you can't give examples of why WSU, BYU, & Stanford, are better than Oregon St, Arizona St, & San Diego St?

Just say so.
well i already put their records. i had BYU listed with their ranking vs all the other teams with none. not sure what else to use.

But have any of Oregon opponents WSU, BYU, & Stanford, or Utah opponents Oregon St, Arizona St, & San Diego St played each other?

Would Coastal Carolina at 5-0 beat all those teams?

have they no
do i think WSU would beat all 3 yes
do i think BYU would beat all 3 yes
do i think stanford would no
but i dont think Arizona state would beat WSU or BYU and Stanford would be a pick em
i think Oregon state would lose to WSU and BYU and will be Stanford
i think San Diego State would lose to WSU and BYU and possibly Stanford.
coastal carolina? why bring them in? their schedule is nothing like either Oregon or Utahs to compare it.
you just mad Coastal Carolina beat Georgia Southern and Nebraska couldnt.

Why do you think all that bold?

I brought Coastal Carolina into it because you used records as an example to imply WSU and BYU at 4-1 were better than the Utah opponents.
If it's records then CCU at 5-0 would be better than all of them, no?

Again... Since none of the Oregon opponents have played any of the Utah opponents, why do you think the Oregon opponents are better?

BYU beating Baylor - think everyone agrees Baylor is a solid team.
WSU beating Wisconsin on the road, that added to the ridiculous firing of their coach.
Vs.
ASU, OS or SDSU don’t have any quality wins.

I feel like this is just a giant troll job because no one can really be this dumb. and if you are being serious im done. they dont pay me enough for this

Not a troll.

I keep asking why you think Oregon's better than Utah, but you keep dodging it.

There was a lame attempt at putting Oregon's opponent records up there as being better than Utah opponent records. So I injected 5-0 Coastal Carolina with a better record than all of them.

I asked if there were head-to-heads between opponents that would support your assertion and there are none.

Now you're stuck.

Again.... Why do you think Oregon opponents are better than Utah opponents?

Have you watched any of these teams play? The eye test is a thing.

Full disclosure: Utah should be above Oregon. I'm just commenting on the opponents' business.

The Pac 12 office already admitted Oregon should’ve lost to WSU so no way can they be considered a non 2 loss team.

No they didn’t - c’mon Wazz. Bottom line the Ducks killed themselves with stupid penalties and racked up 620 yards of offense and executed when they absolutely had to. Ya the refs f’d up the grounding call, but it no way shape or form does that suddenly make Oregon not march up and down the field.

Schedules aren’t the same. One played Cal and Colorado in conference play. The other played USC, UW and Oregon. If Stanford played Zona on a neutral field, I think Stanford wins.

My power ratings aren’t based on records. They’re based on who I think wins on a neutral field

Weird. Stanford stopped playing top 25 caliber teams and they suddenly won 2 games in a row. Arizona, started playing top 25 teams, and they lost 2 in a row. Records can be misleading. That's why I asked about power ratings vs. resume.
