2022/23 PAC-12 Power Rankings

What has Oregon done that is so impressive?

They absolutely escaped against a Wazzu team that you have ranked 7th in this conference, got embarrassed by UGA, beat a BYU team that was going on a ranked back-to-back, and beat Eastern Washington.

Oregon has the only win against a current top 25 team. Also has a road win against a previously undefeated Wazzu. What has anyone else in the PAC done that is more impressive?

Not lost by 46 points on national TV.

so they “did more” by scheduling weaker opponents. Got it

In the parts you deleted, I outlined how Oregon has two wins with more value than anyone else in the conference has. Kind of silly to dismiss that in the fashion that you did

You can't change the minds of haters. This is the most simple factual statement and they want to argue it.

Didn't we start off by saying it is way too early to tag anyone as elite? Really doesn't matter who has which teams in their top 4 as it will surely change before seasons end.

People flapping back at OD's stupidity and hypocrisy is just noise to pass the time until we get more games.

stop trying to take away our fun

you guys take OD way too seriously. It’s just surprising seeing others making equally ridiculous claims

I simply answered your question. That is all.

BYU was on a back to back on difficult opponents, which does take some off of it.

Again, this is crazy early and it's just how I am currently seeing things. I think Oregon was lucky to escape against Washington State, so it's not as simple as just saying 'you win, yippeee'. In my top 25 nationally, I had Alabama #1 until the Texas game. Yes they won, and it was a difficult road game, but the eye test has to count for something.

BYU did what a lot of teams like them do. They shot their wad the week before against Baylor and then came out and laid an egg against Oregon.

I think Oregon is a decent team but they aren't particularly "great" . They were very fortunate to get that circus win against Wazzu.

Them and USC are about equal right now. Decent teams but probably would get blasted if they happened to get into the playoff

Plenty of teams play good opponents back to back. That's a lame excuse. Oregon had to follow up the BYU game by playing a good team on the road.

Calling the Washington State game "lucky" shows the lack of a serious analysis. Oregon outgained Washington State by about 200 yards. I don't think people realize how much a turnover in the redzone returned for a TD impacts games. Analytics say it impacts games far more than people think. It helped Aggy upset a better Arkansas team. The fact Washington State got one of those and still lost tells me Oregon was definitely the better team.

I don't think anyone in the PAC is prepared to compete in the playoffs. There's a huge gap after the top couple of teams. Cincy and Michigan both got blasted last year in the playoffs.

Did you mean take him too literally? Because I don't think anyone on the site takes him seriously. Like ever. It's just fun to trade shots with him.

Probably be fun to trade shots while drinking shots with him too, although I'm not sure about the quality of the shots at Applebee's. :noidea:

These types of comments are why Oregon fans aren't taken seriously.

OD's would be White Claw shots.

Whoever gets the #4 spot in the playoffs is probably going to get blasted. There are 3 teams who are truly playoff ready.,,Georgia, Bama and tOSU.

Hopefully, with NIL and the transfer portal, that will expand soon...but for now, that's how it is.

But even here you are being a hypocrite. Analytics have been shown time and time again that 'big game' after 'big game' in consecutive weeks shows a steep decline in the second game.

Say what you want, but you were down by more than 2 scores with less than 4 minutes left. ESPN had Wazzu at a 99% chance of winning late into the game. You were lucky, and if you don't think having to score 29 points in the 4th quarter to barely win 3 involves luck, then I'm not sure what else to tell you.
