One of the reason that I am against overvaluing OOC games is Alabama example. Alabama is definitely a team that was trending down if you watched their performance in the SEC. Texas A&M would have been a far better option than Alabama for the SEC to include in the tournament with regard to whether the team would advance or not.
I think Conference Standings/Performance needs to be counted more by the committee, especially when teams are trending down at the end of the year.
