Yeah Corral made it work with his legs last year.. JT just doesn't have movement, but I'm not sure what offense JT right now would thrive in. Bryce the top QB last year had to move, as did CJ..

His lack of mobility is ultimately why he never got the job back. I could see him having success at a place like Notre Dame or Wisconsin though. He’s got a cannon, he’s just a sitting duck in the pocket of the protection isn’t there, and he’s injury prone too. I hope finds a good landing spot. He handled the situation at UGA better than you could reasonably expect

Yes. They will now that Patterson is coming back. But the offense is currently designed for dual threat QB’s. Haven’t had a true pocket passer since well Rees.

part of the reason the offense was so sluggish this year is the zone read fooled nobody because Coan was never a running threat. And he had really shitty pocket presence always holding the ball too long.

Notice how the running game got better when Buchner was in? That’s because defenses had to respect his ability to keep it and take off.

***Right now, I believe Ole Miss is in great shape for transfer portal tight end Michael Trigg. That is not to say they aren't in good shape for transfer QB Jaxson Dart, but in better shape for Trigg, I am told. We'll see what today and tomorrow brings from each of them. They simply have to be getting close. I think Ole Miss has out-distanced Oklahoma, but I think USC might be becoming a factor here, especially if they don't get Caleb Williams. I do not know that for sure, but the thought has indeed crossed my mind.

Yeah, I've wondered the same. Is Dart waiting to commit until after he sees what Williams does? If Williams goes somewhere else, does Dart stay? And if he does, does Trigg stay as well? Rumor is that he wants to go where Dart goes.

I think if Caleb indeeds goes to SC (which it looks like), Dart ends up at BYU where Trigg won't follow him. I think it's just noise that they are a packaged deal.. sorta the same rumblings we hear about JT and Burton right now being a duo
