Nebraska Cornhuskers 2023/2024 Nebrasketball

Nebraska was up 8-2 with 15 minutes remaining in the 1st, but are now down 22-19 with 6:22 remaining in the 1st.

I think Purdue at home is more winnable than Wisconsin on the road.

Will be in familiar surroundings, plus I don't feel like we ever get Purdue's best. Also I feel they're incredibly overrated. Edey's fucking Canadian.

Now hopefully they can figure out what is troubling them on the road. Would be nice to pick up both of the next 2 at Iowa and Rutgers

Unfortunately what troubles them on the road is what troubles every college basketball team on the road. The familiarity of the court/arena they're playing at, and the away crowd.

Purdue got all these wins either on a neutral court or in West Lafayette.

I doubt they get all those wins if they were playing those teams at their arenas.

Purdue's other loss was @ Northwestern.
They did win @ Maryland.

When there's a lot of parity (which there seems to be in the Big 10 this season), it's imperative to win your home games.
I've been saying all season this is a down year for the Big 10. That's why I give Nebraska a shot at the NCAA tourney if they can go .500 in conference. The top 7 teams (likely NCAA tournament teams) will have to win their home games and steal a couple on the road.

Minnesota was that game Nebraska could have stolen on the road if it weren't for that crazy 2nd half collapse.

That being said....

Did the Purdue win make up for that Minnesota road loss?

I think it does.

In the eyes of the experts, the odds of Nebraska winning last night (even at home) were slim to none. It was literally penciled in as a Husker loss.
