That’s a 100% NIL pull right there. He’s been a heavy UGA lean for months. Our DL class will be really good but not going to lie, we wanted this guy.

LOL … DL, not OL or WR. UGA just had the best DL in recent history and had 3 DL taken in the 1st round, including the no. 1 pick. About 60 million between the 3 of them. Texas had no players taken. If he’s skipping out on that opportunity because the QB maybe I’m glad we didn’t get him.
All that said, I have no problem with the NIL. It’s not like we aren’t using it. We just got beat on this one. We will land better than him, but he was a take, and we wanted him. Congrats.

yeah but what does all of that have to do with Mitchell choosing us?? I do know Arch liked the incoming class of OL signed in 22 that will be in year 3 when he takes over... and he knows that at UT he can get offensive skill players too.
We didn't have one 5 star OL player sign in any of Chucks or Tom's classes. We only had 1 5 star DL (247, not composite) who is starting this season here still. Flood brought in 2 5 star OL last cycle.. Who knows if we shock the world and get the lone 5 star DL in the state this year in Jordan Hicks.

Yeah, and we still stand pretty solid with another 3/4 four-star prospects. Greathouse, Hanafin, Ausberry and Jason Moore seem like near locks to commit to ND. M'Pemba would be nice, but not counting on it. Still have a great shot to land a 25-kid class with likely 22 of them being at least four-star kids. Which is pretty insane.
I really like that kid, but he just doesn't like "fast pace" living in Austin

some insider notes on two 4 star recruits in Austin; ND looks to have gotten Greathouse who is commiting on the 15th (Great pickup). DE Vasek was trending hard towards Oregon but after the news last week, he's starting to look elsewhere.. wants stability.
