Ok, just saw the pots. 3 German teams in Pot 1 and none are Bayer Leverkusen? Head scratcher... Still trying to figure out the format. 4 groups of 9 this time around. Whether I understand it or not, I do know with 100% certainty Real Madrid and Manchester City will get the weakest draw. The draw is tomorrow.

When do we get Bayern v Arsenal....again?
 
I feel like the new league play should benefit larger clubs. The chances of having a group of death or really bad draw seem reduced. There will be some squads that just get unlucky. Leverkusen's draw looks to be much more difficult than Arsenal's.
 
Seems like 3 decent teams in each group meaning two automatically qualify and the third and fourth one in a knockout round most likely against a weaker opponent. So yes better for the better teams. Appeases the Super League cry babies.

9-2 Bayern. That was a crazy 2nd half.

They had 3 offside goals too. But every group has a stiff or two. So Bayern had theirs in Game 1. Other good teams will pile on the goal differential too when they get their stiff. Some of the goals were pretty spectacular too. Guerrero's, Olise, and Goretzkas for sure.

Anyways top 8 in knockout automatic. Next 16 play home and home. Is it 9 versus 24, etc... If so, that really hinders the weak teams to advance now.
 
Inter held Man City today. Nice! The Italians know how to play defense. And De Bruyne got hurt. Arsenal I am sure likes that. Was hoping Girona would hold off PSG. Not so with late PSG goal. Girona and PSG both in Bayern group. Bayern next two games: Aston Villa and Barcelona on the road. Get past those two with results, they are home free into knock out round.
 
Barcelona upset by Monaco today. Early red card did not help but still. Typical UCL Barca. Leverkusen rolled. Big day from Wirtz again. Bayern trying anything and everything to get Wirtz. Will cost a ton of money but worth it if they can sign him and extend Musiala. Musiala turned down $14 million this week. Will probably cost $20 million a year. Same for Wirtz.

At least they're not English, if they were they'd probably cost triple that. :)

Yeah but the English want both badly also. Will they pay triple lol? To have them both at Bayern is good for World Cup in 2026. They were pretty good together at the Euros and Wirtz wants to go big club too.
