GAME 2024/2025 Season Game Thread

I think UConn will beat Baylor, and St Johns will beat KSU, but after that it's dicey. X/TCU is intriguing. TCU is down this year, good chance for X to notch, what would likely be a Q2 win.

DePaul being decent (and to an extent Gtown) has at least raised the floor this year. But Seton Hall and Nova nose diving has really hurt. Nova might be able to recover (Columbia and UVA aren't Q4), and they still have Cincy tomorrow. But that's only based on what I thought they'd be preseason.

Yeah raising the floor is key. And there's still a quality chance to get more teams in than last year.

But last year was so much better for seeding. So long as you killed the DePaul/Goergetown. I think every other team was a Q1 road game(or close to it) and obviously the big 3 were all Q1 home games too. This year, as it currently is MU cant even play a Q1 home game lol(I do think Uconn ends up there tho)

Last week was a total debacle

This is pretty crazy.

Oregon State vs. Nebraska in the Diamond Head Classic Championship tomorrow. From memory, this might be the best championship game in the history of this event. Both top 55 in the NET as things stand now.

Nebrasketball brings home the hardware.

Tough game 'til the final 7 minutes or so, but Nebraska finished strong.

Nice win. This could potentially end up as a Q1 win. I feel like Oregon State will be hovering around 50 in the NET all season. Pretty good OOC for Nebraska overall.

Nebraska's NET jumped 13 spots this week. Was really the best possible outcome for them in this MTE. True road win @Hawaii, Murray State will be a Q3 neutral win and Oregon State, now 51 in the NET will be a Q1 or Q2A win. Huge boost to their resume. If they make the tournament, this week will be a big reason why. Take care of business at home and pick up a road win or two and I'd feel pretty safe about them getting in. Road slate is challenging though, @Washington is probably the must win, they hopefully steal one somewhere else. It'll be difficult because all the other road games will be Q1.

Would have been nice if that 3 point play to give UCLA a 61-60 lead was correctly called a F1 on them, to give us 2 FTs and the ball with 30ish seconds left, but whatever.

Gonzaga vs. UCLA always delivers. Good game.

What makes that no call all the more infuriating is Ajayi got called for the exact same thing earlier in the half.

Man, the end of the UCLA game has Nembhard rattled. He’s been awful tonight.

Both teams getting to triple digits? Impressive offense, sad defense.
