2024 College Football TV Ratings

Yeah, that's true. But even when Schiano had them at their best, they still weren't all that close to what VT was. In the late 90's and 2000's, they were a top 15ish program. A vintage VT team blows out this current iteration of Rutgers IMO.
That's a good point. It's too bad we saw them play so much in the 90s/early 2000s but then they stopped playing before Schiano hit his stride during his first stint. 2006 would have been a fun year to see them play.

Yeah, for sure. VT left right as Schiano got them respectable/good. Then Schiano left and they turned into a dumpster fire until he returned. Lol. Can't blame him for leaving for an NFL gig, but I do wonder if he never would have left what might have happened. I'm not saying they would have been a contender in the B1G East, but I do think they would have been much more competitive. All the progress from the late 2000's was lost and he had to start over.

If they beat Washington I'm wondering if that will get them ranked. They have a ridiculously favorable schedule this year missing Ohio State, Penn State, Oregon and michigan. They have a realistic shot at 9-3.

It might, but then again IU isn't ranked at 4-0 and absolutely should be. Both them and IU could have special seasons. IU has to play OSU, but gets Michigan at home. Those are the only ranked teams they play. If I had to project forward, I'd guess IU will finish with a better record, but both should have their best seasons in forever(minus the Covid year)

Pretty nice number for VT/Miami. Vastly exceeded my 2.5 million estimation.

Blew away Rutgers vs. Washington on Fox.

Huge weekend for ABC. My guess is those are the top 3 rated games. Maybe Wisconsin/USC topped 4 million.

See 👇. UCF/Colorado topped 4 million.

UGA/Bama gets 12 million, but tejas vs A&M is gonna be 20 - 25 million? :headscratch:

If this was the stand alone game on Thanksgiving Day like it use to be, I think the numbers would be tremendous.
I loved watching Texas get their ass whipped while eating turkey.

Full ratings for week 5 minus Wisconsin/USC because of a Nielsen dispute.
