Didn’t get much service with Southgate lineup and tactics either. As a Bayern Munich fan a little concerned about this season for Kane.
That's the main problem with Southgate, still clinging to the "old" style of play. With the right Manager, England have the talent, especially young talent (Foden, Palmer, Watkins etc) to win major tournaments.

Spain really hit the trifecta yesterday. Wimbledon, euro 2024, and the big Grand Prix sailing race in San Francisco for $2 million.

1000 % true. The best talent, the deepest bench. With Toney, Watkins, Palmer 60 goals on the bench. Listening TalkSPORT from England today about Southgate and issues. Here are some:
1) Foden and Bellingham don't work together. One should have been on the bench.
2) The left side a disaster (see number #1 above).
3) Declan Rice attrocious but a lot was his partner Mainoo and Arnold.
4) Arnold experiment a disaster.
5) Did not try Saka on left and starting Palmer on the right.
6) Way late with substitutions.
Just heard Southgate on TalkSport. Good Lord. Is the the guy a puff? "Between crumpets and tea, Bellingham was getting a bit leggy. My tea was getting getting cold and Spain scored before I could sub him off. My tea was too good. The boys were getting tired but giving everything between crumpets and tea breaks. Spain is the better team, but we'll have a go at it. We'll need our tea though first though as it is bit nippy in Berlin this time of year," Just effing Christ Southgate.
I think that problem is the same as with Gerrard and Lampard, both great talents but it's difficult to have them both be effective together. That's always been an issue with England, they're afraid to bench a "star" if the lineup doesn't work. Brazil, Germany etc don't seem to have that problem
No doubt, but they made a game of it. Really entertaining finish if the first half was a little boring.
Good coach, but I'm fairly certain he would use the same tactics Southgate used.
Tuchel also wouldn't be a bad shout. His tactics are boring but he is one of the best managers in the world when it comes to a knockout format. Or they can simply promote from within and grab the U21 manager.
That's a tricky one. If I'm Howe, i would be a little anxious about leaving Newcastle considering that's such an exciting and interesting project...unless his dream is to be the national manager i guess.

P.S. Summer time and SIRIUS soccer channel has English talkSPORT on. Heard a Harry Kane interview about Southgate today. All positive, but I swear he has picked up a bit of a German accent lol.
