Watched a video yesterday of a Ducks fan filming before the game of himself and all kinds of Ducks entering the stadium and then during in the Ducks section. The change in demeanor was glorious
 
They need to move the CFP championship game up. Having the championship game this late, it gets lost in the headlines on all these sports sites. The last thing CFP wants to do is try and compete with the NFL playoffs.

Not fair to ND and Ohio. In a year where teams have had to go thru a gauntlet of teams to get to the title game, you go to CBS and ESPN and there is nothing about the CFP title game unless you go the CFB page.

It'll take a few years for the adjustment of getting used to the title game happening this late.

We could fix all of this if the powers that be would let us.

Having the championship game in the middle of the NFL playoffs on a federal holiday that is also the day the new POTUS is being sworn in may be one of the dumbest things the CFP has ever done.

Sucks for the kids on ND and Ohio. I seriously thought I had missed the game because there was nothing being talked about. Going up against the NFL playoffs is just too much.

This might be your issue. Whether you love or hate these teams (and I HATE ohio state), these are two legendary teams. If you aren't paying attention or aren't getting excited about this championship, you are not a college football fan!!!

I expect the game itself will see pretty good ratings but yea the leadup has been rather quiet.

This is going to be his new angle "Oregon the true national champion! Oregon not being there caused attention to drop and ratings to fall!"

Notre Dame is a bigger national (and global) brand than Oregon though
