2024 NFL Head Coach Deadpool

Hypothetically, lets say Jerry does want Deion and Deion wants Shedeur. How does Jerry get the #1 overall pick?

Here's one scenario that makes some sense:
- Jerry trades Parsons to Chicago for the 10th overall pick. I imagine CHI would much rather have Parsons than 10th overall.
- Jerry trades the 10th overall, 12th overall and Dak Prescott to TEN for #1 overall. TEN gets a legit starting NFL QB and two huge building blocks.
- Jerry gets exactly what he wanted. ...a circus...

This prob means Jerry already has his new guy lined up.

they wouldn't let him interview just a week ago, they don't have a plan

Nurse musta given him the applesauce with cinnamon in it by accident. This decision appears slightly more lucid than sticking with a proven loser for a few more years.
Its about time. Let's see who will be the next stooge Jerry Jones hires, then fires.
Can we not, please?

I'm not sure I buy that Shedeur goes #1 overall. It's not even clear that he's the #1 QB taken, as Cam Ward is being rated consistently higher. Sanders goes outside the Top-5 a lot. That said, I think a Top-5 pick probably secures Sanders, since little else would be required to snag him, like a late draft pick or prospect.

I agree with that assessment. However, in the hypothetical of - if you're Jerry who wants Deion and Deion wants Shedeur, Jerry pretty much has to secure #1 overall well before the draft to ensure they get what they want. Either that, or he needs to blackmail 31 other teams to NOT take Shedeur before he does.

Shedeur Sanders is nowhere near NFL talent level. Promoting Sheduer is Deion's ego talking. This will be as bad as Lebron James' son was/is as a pro pick in the NBA. BS. No self respecting NFL organization should go along with this crap.

McCarthy is officially done with Dallas I'm hearing now.

Just saying, if he secures #5 by jumping up from the #12 spot, it's 'possible' with limited talks with the Titans, Browns, Giants, Pats and Jags. Two of those teams have young QBs they at least want to pretend to build around, so that leaves only 3- at least 1 of which will probably prefer Cam Ward or Travis Hunter, Abdul Carter or one of the elite linemen. Jerruh's negotiating skills are only sharp in his own mind, so yeah, he'd probably have to overpay.

There's the flaw. The Cowboys aren't a self-respecting NFL organization and haven't been for 20-30 years.

Cowboys don't need to do any fancy draft order maneuvering for Sheduer. No team will pick him in the first round because: 1. Talent - it's not there; and 2. Accompanying distraction drama from Deion Sanders and his clown show.

@Mofo, keep in mind that Jerry would need to also cover the possibility of other teams trading up ahead of him on draft day and stealing Shedeur. That's why I exaggerated "31 other teams".

I think that’s an unfair comparison. I don’t think Sheduer will be a good pro, but he’s not Bronny James bad. At least he played well in college.

Cowboys need a coach. A person of color, to lead these young men to the promised land. Win a title.

Browns fired their OC and O-Line coach. Going back to the under center, play action heavy offense they had a couple years ago, thank god.

Not a coach, but Jacksonville finally shitcanned Trent Baalke.
