2024 Olympics

Gold medal race ends in a tie.

40-40

Old man take incoming:

Breaking has no business in the Olympics.
That's no an old man take, that's a most people of most ages take. It's out of the next Olympics.

Also, you can see break dancers 1000 times better on the streets of NY, LA, and Chicago any day of the week.

Controversy in swimming with doping specifically a men’s medley.

The Chinese have had a long history of getting caught doping in the pool. About 23 were found to have banned substances before the Tokyo games but they were blamed on the food they ate and the WADA looked the other way.

That said, they were tested repeatedly at these games and until they test positive they’ll get the benefit of the doubt whether they deserve it or not.

Their swimmer that smashed his own WR in the 100 free and split a sub :46 to win the medley relay though in what is considered a slow pool definitely raises eyebrows though.

Flag football in next Olympics.

I was reading ESPN article on women's team for 2028. Sure don't take a chance on youngsters. No one under 25 on 2024 roster. Risky option that almost backfired. After selecting team, they admitted leaving Caitlin Clark off a mistake. Was WNBA rookie of month in July. ESPN looking at projected roster many of projected players are from 2024 roster and in their 30's. Clark is a sure thing unless injured. Reese is not. Another forward just like her with an ACL who missed Olympics will be either her or Reese. Two college phenoms right now too. The freshman at USC JuJu Watkins is the one who could make the 2028 team too as an under 25. Her and Clark would be a fun watch in 2028. Just like the women's soccer team, time cut loose the senior citizens and 34/35 for me is a senior citizen here.

They're going to want to look at the '04 men's team and avoid the mistakes they made forming that team.

The problem with the men’s team is two fold:

1. Some of the best in the NBA play for other countries. This isn’t 1996 anymore.

2. Many players don’t want to make the commitment and cut their off season short. That means the team has less to choose from, less practice time and less games beforehand.

I hate to say it but without LeBron we probably win silver. Curry came on strong late but he was cold the first half and almost worthless on defense.

Both teams were really sloppy and need to clean their shit up on the court.
