2024 Regionals

ACC, SEC and maybe Big 12 are the only decent baseball conferences. it's not bias.

No argument here.

Nebraska came in 2nd in the Big 10 regular season and won the Big 10 tournament, yet went (0-3) against their rival in Big East cretin.

Their Tuesday and Wednesday games OOC were atrocious.

Indiana did make the CWS in 2013, but Big 10 baseball gets little attention on BTN until mid-May. Wisconsin doesn't even field a team. Maybe the addition of the 4 PAC teams will light a fire under their ass, but I doubt it. Baseball just isn't a priority to the Big 10.

got tickets to the noon game in Chapel Hill on Saturday

There's usually a G5 conference or two that have stout baseball teams.

Those 3 definitely have the deepest talent pools when you look at conference-wide baseball. They have the most consistent presence in the CWS. But, there are schools from outside regions and smaller conferences that are pretty regular.

Coastal Carolina, DBU, ORU recently. Oregon State is a powerhouse. Cal State Fullerton and Pepperdine used to be elite baseball schools. Same for Wichita State.

We are at least seeing some more participation from northern schools, which is good to see. Indiana and Michigan have both made runs recently and SUNY New York made a CWS appearance not too long ago.

Couple of upsets have already happened or just about to happen:
Knoxville Regional-Indiana 3 seed over Southern Miss 2 seed
Greenville Regional- Evansville 4 seed over ECU 1 seed
Norman Regional- UConn 3 seed over Duke 2 seed

Many people picking Duke to win the Norman regional but they just lost to UConn.

That ECU one is shocking!

Army is hanging with UGA too. UGA is up, but that's closer than I thought it would be!

Gators hitting Sears hard. 10 hits and A lot of loud outs.

LSU and UGA squeaking by, and I have some Grambling tool telling me we barely beat them by winning 8-0 on "miscommunication".

JMU beating up on SCar.
