I think tonight will have a decent showing. Not so much on Friday as it is at 2. If they make the semifinals, Iowa will have a big crowd.

In totals.......

The inaugural tournament in 2014 drew 62,044 fans.
In 2019, the tournament drew 47,790 fans.
In 2023 it drew 39,406 fans.
Last year it drew 25,887 fans.

That's with Nebraska making it to (and winning) the championship game last year.

It's been going backwards.

Yesterday's total attendance for the 3 games was 2,843. That's pathetic considering Nebraska played yesterday.

Legacy Big 10 fans don't give a shit about baseball.

For attendance purposes the tournament needs Nebraska and/or Iowa in the championship.

I'm curious to see how Oregon fans travel Friday. The Quackers won the regular season and are legit CWS potential.

Iowa is having the best season in 35 years. Last week, Iowa sold out in 2 games. That is with extra bleachers. I tried to get 2 tickets day of game and couldn't get them together, and1 cost $58. Normally, we just show up and pay $7 a ticket and nowhere near sold out.

If Iowa has a chance to win or make NCAAs, I can see fans showing up.

That means #2 Seed UCLA and #3 Seed Iowa advance to play each other in the semi-finals on Saturday after playing just one game.

Illinois and Rutgers have only lost once, but they're eliminated.

#12 Michigan St is eliminated because they lost one game. They're eliminated but they still have to play #1 Oregon tomorrow.
#6 Indiana is eliminated because they lost one game. They're eliminated but they still have to play #3 Iowa tomorrow.
If #4 USC beats #9 Penn St tomorrow then they'll be in the semi-finals on Saturday. #5 Washington will be eliminated but still have to play #4 USC for nothing on Friday.

This is the dumbest ass format ever.

I was wondering about PSU and UW. They kept saying PSU plays on Saturday when the #4 seed hadn't even played a game.

I hate B1G tourneys. This is even worse than the basketball format. Just do 8-team tournament.

Yea I hate this format. Just do 8 team or the normal 12 team format with top 4 teams getting a 1st round bye. Doing pool play is idiotic.

The only game that's not meaningless today is #4 USC vs #9 Penn St.
The outcome of today's #4 USC vs #9 Penn St game renders tomorrows #4 USC vs #5 Washington game meaningless.


Today.....

#7 Michigan vs #2 UCLA: Meaningless. Michigan is already eliminated. UCLA is already in the semi-finals on Saturday.
#1 Oregon vs #12 Michigan St: Meaningless. Michigan St has already been eliminated.
#6 Indiana vs #3 Iowa: Meaningless. Indiana has already been eliminated. Iowa is already in the semi-finals on Saturday.

Not only does it not sell tickets it doesn't promote tv viewership.
