Ok so yeah Texas State joins the Pac 12. the other schools have made their declarations
I think over looked was Delaware State and Missouri State moving up to CUSA from FCS

the Texas State move should trigger a few more moves just figured a new thread for it was easier than digging around and trying to find old ones.

Regular Delaware, not Delaware State.

sun belt will be uneven numbers at 13 and could sit with a 6 and 7 split. or they could go after another team with CUSA being the likely pick off. Louisiana Tech has the most mentions for that.
But really most all those CUSA schools except NMSU fit the region

Let’s start a rumor about Iowa to the Sun Belt

The bold are not synonymous with each other.

i hear you but there has def been an eastern shift in the CUSA.

A lot of this bantering may not matter in a few years if the Big 10 and SEC get their way.

For all we know we could very well be watching G5 football in April, May, June, and a their championship in July.

That’d be heaven as a football fan.

Hell as a (not good) gambler.

im doubtful that will ever happen. july especially. like i know baseball and softball and track end a bit after finals but not into july. on top of which that eliminates so many games even if they are mostly squash games from the P4.

Yeah I doubt it as well. Right up there with the G5s having a separate playoff. I doubt that has any chance of happening either.

i liked an idea that would have had the highest ranked G5 champ in the playoff and the other 4 played a 2 round champs tourney of their own. Trophy or just conference bragging rights. Like last year would have been Boise in the play off and then
1 Army (American) vs 4 Jacksonville State (CUSA)
2 Marshall (Sun Belt) vs 3 Miami OH (MAC)

Not sure its as doable with a G6 Pac now in the mix.

Maybe give 1 seed a bye and lowest 2 play in for the 4Boise (Pac) playoff

1 Army vs 4 winner Jacksonville State vs Miami OH
2 UNLV (new MWC) vs 3 Marshall

Once in a blue moon and when the stars align correctly, a G5 was good enough to beat some of the biggies. Like Boise over OU, TCU over Wisconsin and Utah over Bama. But not often. Hell, I'm not sure we'll ever even see a Purdue or Miss State type team in the CFP.

But what the hell do I know? No one would have ever thought Indiana would either. And SMU was left for dead at one point.

Don't forget about Southern Utah and Utah Tech to the Big Sky.

And Sac State NOT going FBS because their waiver was rejected.

I'm sure everybody really gives a fuck about that.

no it was more often than that.

Who else?

Boise over Oklahoma was the most remembered but when Boise beat Oregon, Oregon finished top 10 one year and went on to win the Pac another.
the same year they beat Oklahoma they beat a end of year 10 win ranked Oregon State.
2010 they beat ACC champ VT.
SEC division champ UGA in 2011
Pac 12 division champ Arizona in 14

UCF vs BigXII champ Baylor in 13 and Auburn as SEC division winner in 17
Utah vs Pitt BE champ in 04
Houston vs Florida State in NY6 bowl in 15
Tulane vs USC in NY6 bowl in in 23

BYU just did it on a fairly regular pace too.
