Bear Tenney decommitted, I think it was a mutual parting of ways. Tenney wants to be a TE nebraska things if him as a future OT.

Also think Loftin is in and Cortez Mills

I saw we just got that cj bronaugh kid. But I don’t think 2026 kids will stay committed for a year
 
So, just a reminder that early signing day, or whatever you call it now, is actually this coming Wednesday. I expect the second signing day to be more involved than normal after coaching moves are made this weekend. Gonna be a lot of kids holding off if their HC was just fired or moved to a new job.

Here are some names to watch for Nebraska heading into next week:

Chase Loftin - Current FSU commit but has been actively looking around. FSU is likely to finish 2-10 on the season and have a whole hose of coaching changes if not a HC change. Prevailing wisdom indicates that Loftin will not remain committed to FSU but other schools are in the hunt as well. Missouri could be a school in play, and he likes Miami as well.

Cortez Mills - This one has been a quiet recruitment and it's really just about Oklahoma (who he is currently committed to) and Nebraska (who he visited despite objections from the OU staff. Mills reaffirmed his commitment to OU early in the season but that was before Vennebles fired his OC. A lot depends on whether or not the WR coach remains at OU. I could see this one going beyond Wednesday. If it is on Wednesday I like Nebraska's chances.

Aiden Manutai - Current safety commit to Cal that Nebraska really likes. However, it does seem that Nebraska hanging on to Jeremiah Jones forced Nebraska to stop recruiting him. He was supposed to visit for the Wisconsin game but that plug got pulled. I think he ends up at Cal on Wed.

Jamal Frilot - DE recruit from Houston has Nebraska high on his board but not much has been written about him lately. Frilot hasn't posted on X since July and has only been talked of sporadically. No one seems to be following his recruitment so I have no idea what's going on with him.

Michael Terry III - The long saga is about to close and Michael Terry will be choosing with Nebraska or Texas. Smart money is on Texas but heart money is on Nebraska. There's been some serious momentum the Huskers' way late with this one but I'm not stranger to signing day surprises and neither is Nebraska. Anyone who tells you that they know exactly what Terry is going to do is lying to you. The big thing here is that it seems Texas wants Terry at DB but he wants to play WR. Playing time is WIDE OPEN for Nebraska at WR and not so much for Texas. I like Nebraska's chances here so long as Terry does as well and really wants to play WR. Texas has supposedly told him he could start at WR but conventional wisdom says they will try to move him to DB ASAP.
 
Feel good about Cortez Mills... so-so about Loftin... and I want to be positive on Terry but I've also been burned on signing day before.

Michael Terry III is a crap shoot, but I'm gonna go with Texas on this one. He's been a lean to Texas for a LONG time and I'm not sure his friendship with Raiola will win out in the end. But this one is really 50/50 to me. Huskers feel good and Texas Longhorns feel good some of which are saying they would be SHOCKED if he went anywhere but Texas.
