5 star WR Calvin Russell out of Florida has committed to Syracuse over his other three finalists: Oregon, Michigan, and Florida State. Massive get for the Orange. Relationships matter, and Syracuse was supposedly the first to offer Russell.

It's obviously early, but the top 20 of the rankings I find interesting:

7 SEC
6 B1G
6 ACC
ND

And as of now schools like MD, Houston, Texas Tech, BYU and Syracuse have a top 25 player commitment.

Alabama coming on strong. They now have the most 5 stars committed.

The 5* run is an aberration under the new rules. If each of those cost what they should, that's a lot of money being spent on high school players. But, it's been an impressive run which shows that Bama recruits on its own. The GOAT could do it, but I am thinking any good coach can and DeBoner is a good coach.

Apparently it's a 3 year $5.1M deal. 1.7M/yr. One dude taking up almost 10% of their entire schools rev share cap. Lol.
This makes a lot more sense ... it's $775K per year, but can go up if (1) the $20.5 million goes up, or (2) they decide they can't enforce the real NIL provisions. In other words, his contract anticipates that the NIL Go Clearinghouse may not survive a court challenge, in which case he would get paid more money.
