LOL at Gibbs being a game-changing RB. Just because your dumbass team overreached for him, it doesn't make him a game-changer. Also, I'm not over-valuing Trey considering coming into the season he was a projected first round pick by several sites for the 2024 draft.
Yes -- he is a game changer. As a rookie, he is 2nd in the NFL in yards per carry and 20th in rushing yards, while splitting carries. He also has 45 receptions.

He opens up the Lions offense and is a constant mismatch because he can beat you outside, between the tackles and can be split out as a WR.

He is the closest thing in the NFL to Alvin Kamara as you will find right now. Or are you saying Alvin Kamara isn't a game changer either?

Can wait to hear this. Who do I overvalue on Michigan? I'm not on here saying guys are going to first round picks and DEFINITELY not coming on here saying a RB, who can't stay healthy is as good or better than Bijan Robinson.
You're the dumbass that was spouting off about how the Lions killed the draft after drafting a complimentary RB and an off the ball LB in the first round, and you're doubling down on Gibbs calling him a "game-changer" LOL. So yeah, it's pretty fucking rich. Also, I never once said Trey was as good or better than Bijan you retard. I made the comparison that coming back and having another elite season could get him into the first round.

LOL Alvin Kamara is a true 3 down back. Gibbs is and has always been a nice complimentary weapon. There's nothing at all wrong with that, he's good in that role. However he's also greatly helped out by the fact he plays on an elite offense with a top 5 OL. Put him on Tampa Bay or Arizona and he likely looks nothing like what he does in Detroit. Hell that offense is making David Montgomery look like elite, no shit Gibbs looks good too.

I said they reached for him and they absolutely did. Gibbs has shown he was more than worth the pick. I wouldn't trade our RB group with basically any team in the NFL right now.

And Bijan didn't 'come back for one more year'. He came back because he didn't have a choice. You have to be 3 years out of HS to go to the draft. Robinson would have been a 1st round pick after 1,500 yards and 15 tds he had after his sophomore year.

Ahhh yes, the 3 down RB that has never rushed for 1,000 yards in the NFL. There is a reason, when they compare Gibbs, they compare him to Kamara. Neither are 3 down RB's.

Do you ever get tired of looking foolish?

That's great that you like him on your team. Honestly I have no problem seeing the Lions be good for the first time in decades. Campbell is a riot and Gibbs is a good fit.

I'm aware Bijan didn't go back, and I'm more than aware of the draft requirements. You're missing the point. Henderson would've likely been a first rounder after his true freshman year when he had a 6.8 YPA and 1550+ total yards and 19 TDs. Hell if not for a cheap shot from an ND player this year that hobbled him through the middle of the season he'd probably be a first rounder next year.

Kamara has always been the RB1. Hell the last 3 years, the Saints' second leading rusher has been Taysom Hill. That backfield is all Kamara with a few carries here and there going to backups. Gibbs has never been that. Not in college, and so far not in the pros. If Detroit was going to draft him so early knowing he'd be there, why do you think they went and signed Monty to a 3 year deal? Gibbs isn't a true workhorse. He works for Detroit, but drafting him that early was still idiotic.

RB1 and a 3 down bell cow RB is COMPLETELY different. Derrick Henry is a 3 down back. Joe Mixon is a 3 down back. Josh Jacobs is a 3 down back. Saquan Barkley is a 3 down back.

Kamara hasn't been and will never be a 3 down back who you can hand the ball off to 20-25 times a game. That is why he has never rushed for 1,000 yards. Hell -- he has only had over 200 carries twice in his career.

If you are more than aware of the draft requirements -- then there is absolutely no comparison to Bijan Robinson. Bijan led all of college football in missed tackles forced and yards after contact. That isn't something Henderson will do. Bijan had some of the best hands for a RB coming out of the backfield, behind........Gibbs. That isn't Henderson. Bijan excels at picking up the blitz.

Bijan is the prototypical 3 down back. He can run in between the tackles, he can run outside, he has great hands and excels at blocking.

Henderson will get drafted to split duties with another RB. No team is drafting him to be a 3 down back. Here are the notes on the NFL draft website on Henderson for his weaknesses.

  • Offers little in pass protection and poor technique cut blocking, fails to do more than slow down blitzers by laying down in front of them.
  • Henderson really isn’t a guy who will create a lot of separation.
  • Needs to improve as a blocker and enhance his physicality after the catch

Wonder how long it's gonna take for these NIL deals to start having clauses put into them where the player must stay a certain length of time or they don't get all their money/have to pay some of it back. Lots of guys jumping ship from the more NIL bag schools after 1 or 2 years.
You can only transfer twice without losing a year and the second time has to be a graduate transfer
