It was hard to get up for it when there's no conference standing on the line anymore and it's not around Thanksgiving. And it was as much about this being a team with half the players never having played in it before with all new coaches that never coached in it.

Kind of a one off one season thing. It could end up being something again at some point, but this wasn't going to be the year.

I'm not seriously suggesting they need to make a change, that would be ridiculous, he'll get his time and likely more.

But it's really been 3 bad games, two just had a bow wrapped on them because they were on a channel that was blacked out where anyone would watch, and no one anywhere else cared, so when they eventually got their shit together and won by something resembling a margin you'd expect no one noticed.

Weren't we saying this was going to be a team fighting for a bowl game this year before the season started? You can't scrape out most of your team from the portal and expect to play at a high level, particularly right out of the gate.

We will see what this staff and those players are made of pretty quickly. I don't think Jedd is a Deboer, but he's at least a Sark. Hopefully without the drunk part.

There's a 12 team playoff and players get paid and bounce around for some kind of mix of money and exposure. History and tradition and all that just isn't something I'm chasing with college football at this point. I'd rather not have one of three out of conference games tied up.

To you last point, they have talent, they just seem to have their head crammed up their asses. Sark led a team coming off a no-win season to a win over a top 20 team in his 3rd game. Dude's UW teams were never known for their discipline but I'd be shocked if we could dig up an example of coming away with more penalty yards than rushing yards. He'd also never call a short side option on 4th and 3 with Will fucking Rogers.

Should I not be? Either way it's lose/lose. And as fans instead of FCS, MW/MAC, hopefully something interesting, we're now treated to FCS, MW/MAC, same MW team and it's apparently off campus now because let's make it as shitty as possible.
 
Meh. Likely we will be forced to play them no matter what either side wants. Both are state employees and the Governor will want that extra cash to stay in state that weekend every year, or most years.

Just won't be the same with them not having access to the same resources. Won't take long before they look more like Eastern Washington than Boise.
 
I thought SJSU would play them close after an emotional Apple cup…. But holy fuck

Agree, I’m not in Washington but I don’t see why we would just stop UW and WSU playing. Don’t seem right at all.
