Yes. It was one game. One team played in their own backyard and in their own time zone. Oregon traveled across the country and played a game essentially at 9:30 AM. But besides that, Oregon in the SEC would allow Oregon to further recruit more of the SEC and the more times they go up against SEC teams, the better they get.
We should've beaten Auburn twice. We beat Tennessee twice. Texas AM bitched out against us. LSU got us because of our turnovers and one of our best players was playing in his very first game as a Freshman. We had one bad game against the defending national champions.
Sorry it was Ole MissAt no point has Kirby Smart ever been down 45-0 to South Carolina
Obviously he is trying to get the players he inherited to do things his way."It’s not an unwillingness. It’s not executing the technique properly. Every one of our players want to perform perform well. They want to do a good job. There's a difference in wanting to do it and doing it. You have to take your weaknesses that you're not good at and work on it harder. Everybody wants to do what they're good at. I want to go to practice and practice catching the ball if I’m the wideout. Throwing touchdowns if I'm a QB. What they don't want to do is practice things they're not good at and that's what we have to do is practice what we're not good at. Until we get good at winning on the perimeter from a blocking standpoint, and a block destruction standpoint, tackling in practice and breaking tackles in practice, then we're not going to do it in the game the way we want to do it."
That doesn't sound like a head coach that is happy with his teams approach. You can dismiss someone asking as trolling, but those are his words after a mid-week practice. He has entitled spoiled players and doesn't mind calling them out on it to the media.
You don't call your players efforts out to the media as a HC. The only exception to that is Mike Leach. Is Lanning going to be the new Leach?Obviously he is trying to get the players he inherited to do things his way.
Google is your friend - Kirby has called out his players in a presser many timesYou don't call your players efforts out to the media as a HC. The only exception to that is Mike Leach. Is Lanning going to be the new Leach?
Kirby's in the Pac now? Who knew?Google is your friend - Kirby has called out his players in a presser many times
Not relevant to the topic - you said head coaches should not call players out in the media. Yet it happens all the time.Kirby's in the Pac now? Who knew?
So regional norms don't matter to you. Cool. That's not the same as it isn't relevant. Not relevant to the topic - you said head coaches should not call players out in the media. Yet it happens all the time.
Regional norms is what is killing the PACSo regional norms don't matter to you. Cool. That's not the same as it isn't relevant.
It's not a good look to be calling out the efforts of your team in your first year while you are trying to build a culture and the trust of your players. You can dismiss this as you choose, but the rest of us will call it out for what it is.
And I hope he keeps on doing it.![]()
No the limp wrists are killing the PACRegional norms is what is killing the PAC
You don't get it. Nothing new for duck fans.Regional norms is what is killing the PAC
Lol - exaggerate much. Oregon dominates their two rivals. Won 3 Rose Bowls last decade, the only PAC team to win in the playoffs. Continue to win the recruiting battle out west. Both you and the hilarious Husker are looking up at Oregon in every aspect. Hence, you are in an Oregon game thread bitching and whining. Take care of your house, cause it needs a ton of repair. You don't get it. Nothing new for duck fans.
Oregon =/= Georgia. Coaches of the top of the game can be as tough as they want on their players and not worry about them transferring out. Oregon is not among that level. Lose any of your players and they hit the portal.
lol at trying to turn pointing out the disarray of your program as whining. Look in the mirror as you keep trying to make excuse after excuse for Lanning's obvious issues with his own team. Now it's bringing up the past as somehow showing things are going just fine. Ignore the fact they got their shit pushed in and entirely destroyed in week 1 which ended any/all postseason hopes and now the signs of things not going well the next week of practice. Duck fans going to duck.Lol - exaggerate much. Oregon dominates their two rivals. Won 3 Rose Bowls last decade, the only PAC team to win in the playoffs. Yes Oregon was shredded in week 1. But still better than both Huskies and Huskers.lol at trying to turn pointing out the disarray of your program as whining. That's completely false by every metric.Yes Oregon was shredded in week 1. But still better than both Huskies and Huskers.
He's basically telling "some" players that they aren't worth their NIL money. I wish more coaches held the players publicly accountable. You don't get it. Nothing new for duck fans.

And you don't get that this being your response shows how badly you are doing. Duck fans are just too easy to rile up. All we did was point out the disarray and you've now gone on a half page defensive rant trying everything in the book to stop the bleeding. It's not working. You really must lookup what the term whining means as you accuse others of your own actions lol.Yes Oregon was shredded in week 1. But still better than both Huskies and Huskers.
