NIL and the portal are both ruining the sport, or at least drastically enhancing the divide between the blueblood/top of the sport and everyone else.

Lol - you are so jealous and envious. You have been for years throughout the message boards. Lanning has recruited top players out of state of Washington. He is the right guy!!! Georgia last three wins has been a combined 84 points. The avg ranking of those 3 opponents is 4.62. UGA is on a different level. The Ducks have played one game yet you are in here trolling. The last three times the Ducks lost their first game, they have went to the Rose Bowl. Without a doubt the Ducks win the North and will have one of the two best records to play for PAC title.

I agree, if you don't run a stable program, kids that want to get to the next level will probably leave dysfunction. Maybe it will force programs to become more functional

You can't develop kids anymore. If they don't get to start they jump. It's hard to build depth with that. Kids that used to stay and wait their turn will jump to lower tier schools just to get playtime. Might turn out well for some kids, but many also lose that chance at learning a system and breaking out after waiting through the older kids above them.

Sure, it can push a program to clean house quicker and that can't be bad, but it's what it does to even 'healthy' programs that has it dragging some of the sport down.
