I don't mind a cold-spell now and then...it's been a while since we've had a spell like this that lasted this long tho, which looks like will be till Sunday. If it holds up, that would be 9 days without getting above zero.

I once flew from LAX to MIA in early February. Any time I flew to the East Coast, I did the redeye, preferably non-stop but I had a ton of miles on United and they wanted to go through ORD. Get there at about 2:30am at that place was FROZEN. I was horrified. Fortunately, didn't even have to deplane, just sat that staring at fucking ICE and shit everywhere. Blessedly was in MIA on a cruise ship sipping a Funship Cocktail later that morning pushing out thoughts of snow n shit.

I had nightmares for days while boozing my way through the Caribbean. It was awful.

In March during the spring thaw, they used to find the bodies of people who had been frozen to death during the winter.
