$27 Million to Floyd's Family

I disagree. It doesn't warrant or justify the killings, but it played a part, and to suggest otherwise is naïve at best, disingenuous at worst.

Him being high had nothing to do with the pig kneeling on his neck for 9 minutes.

Him being high had nothing to do with the pig kneeling on his neck for 9 minutes.
Of course it did. Would he have resisted sober? Would he have been having an "episode" with claustrophobia or whatever if he was sober? Would he have used counterfeit money if he was sober? Would he have been in the position to begin with, if he was sober?

The 9 minute kneel is egregious, excessive and disgusting. But it would've never happened had he been sober and complied. Again, those are just truths. They are hard to hear.

So, you're obviously not viewing this through a biased lens. :rolleyes2:

Ya got any derogatory slang for Floyd, or is that crossing the line, and bringing up irrelevant things from the past?

Anyway, I guess fuck off for having a slight difference of opinion, and cuz I'm not being willing to sum this whole case up on a 2'x3' protest sign.

I fucking hate shitty cops, but I also hate martyring a shitty person.

High or sober, those 9 minutes are what matters. Cuffed, face down, in custody.

9 minutes.

I don't give a fuck how high he was.

I ain't martyring anyone.

I saw what my eyes saw.

Never said ya were. You may not be, but the world certainly is, there is no denying that.

I don't really understand what you are pissed off at me about? Just because I analyzed the details?
Im not pissed off. I dont understand how anyone can watch that video, and not automatically realize that the dude should not have been killed, and the cops didnt do their job. Regardless of who it was, or what they did. Thats it. Not the 27 mil, not whatever he did in the past, not your justification analysis.

The facts of him being hopped up on fentanyl and meth are relevant details in the case. Would he have acted the same sober?

They are just facts. It doesn't justify, but help to explain the encounter and what occurred.

Your emotions affect your comprehension.
Yep, if they are high, or even moderately resist, its ok.

knee in the neck, with 2 other cops on him too, and him begging for his life for minutes on end, and all they had to do was their job, and put him in a car, haul his dumb ass to jail. Thats their job. Not to inflict punishment.

He should not have been killed. The cops didn't do their jobs well. They should never don a badge again. It's a terrible tragedy, and a blight on good cops.

I've felt that from day one.

People have got to start taking responsibility for their part tho. We can not continue to slide into anarchy and expect the cops not to devolve right along with us.

There is no justification for his killing, but there is no justification for him being martyred either.

I have never said anything to defend the dude, and by all means he was a low life. Even child molesters get a trial. Murderers get trials.

If you haven't watched the entire video, I dare anyone to sit through the whole thing. Start to finish, and no looking away. It was incredibly disturbing to me, and I would bet that cop has killed others, and never had anything questioned. That dude was the epitome of "respect my authoritay".

I watched the entire video and admit it didn't look good but you have to consider that Floyd was high on drugs and tried to resist the officers' commands. Was the kneeling on the neck a part of his police training or did he violate protocol? These are things to consider instead of getting emotional about it.

It's incredibly hard to watch. The fact that he never even knows he's passed is what's most disturbing to me.

It's a shitty cop tactic, and is generally used to subdue, which usually takes but a few seconds, as it renders you completely useless and it hurts so much, that you tap out and quit fighting, as there is nothing you can do to fight it.

I've actually experienced it, and I assure you, it hurts like a motherfucker, and panic of death is a very real thought.

I was belligerently drunk and verbally resisting. Never physically resisted, as I was cuffed and there is only so much you can do. They berated me the whole time, calling me a skinhead nazi, (cuz my head was shaved. I was wearing a grateful dead tie dye:crazy:) Not exactly skinhead music. lol.

They split my lip in half, shattered my left heel and kneeled on my neck.

At first they were just generally roughing me up, but after I asked one of them if his dick was hard, one Farva looking fuck snapped and beat the holy fuck out of me.

All I got was a record and a permanent limp.

I bet you learned a lesson about verbally resisting.
